The idea of the Project Management Business Week at Wroclaw School of Banking is to
provide participants with an opportunity to develop broad project management skills,
including:
o self-management
o team management
o communication
o creative problem solving
o project implementation planning
o project execution management
under time pressure

Goals of simulation game
The main goal is to increase project management awareness and to show that project
success and failure is a result of a whole team effort.
The Port of Africa shows participants how management processes work in practice.
It allows students to use different project management techniques like performance
reporting, milestone trends analysis, information and decision processing, risk planning
and responding, managing changes.

3. Wroclaw – the Meeting Place
Wroclaw is the capital city of Lower Silesia, thought of as the centre of student life in the
south-eastern Poland. Dubbed 'the Meeting Place' of Poland, Wroclaw can certainly claim
to be one of the nation's most forward looking
cities. As a vibrant, historic city on the
forefront of change in New Europe is rapidly
catching the attention of tourists and
businessmen. It is a strong academic center,
while the total population of the city is over
650 000 people, there are about 140 000
students studying at 22 institutions of higher education.
Wroclaw’s main attractions are: Market Square with
original gothic Town Hall, Ostrow Tumski island (the
oldest part of the city) with the Cathedral, Japanese
Garden, Multimedia Fountain, ZOO, plenty of museums,
parks and monuments.
Wroclaw is also called the city of dwarfs. They became symbol
of Wroclaw in commemoration of alternative counter-culture,
performers group Orange Alternative which prepared a plenty
action against the communist regime in Wroclaw.
There are more than one hundred small figurines of dwarfs
hidden in the city center. Come and try to find them all!
Wroclaw School of Banking
Wroclaw School of Banking is a higher education
institution founded in 1998. Together with 8 other Banking
Schools we create the biggest business schools group in
Poland. Already at Wroclaw School of Banking study almost
15 000 students. The main characteristics of our brand
are friendliness and practicality. It means that studies are
pleasure on one hand and give our students competitive
market position on the other. According to that we offer
huge number of International activities: International
Business Weeks, LLP Erasmus, Summer Schools, Youth in

4. Important details
Registration deadline: 14th February, 2014
Cost of participation: 210 € per student.
Accommodation
We guarantee 4 nights (from 31st March to 4th April) in modern and friendly Moon Hostel.
From the hostel it takes only 15 minutes to get to WSB by bus, 30 minutes – to Wroclaw
Airport and 5 minutes walking distance to Old City Centre.
If you arrive earlier or departure later and need to book additional nights, please let us
know. We can book it for you. The cost of one additional night: 15 € per student.
You will be served breakfast each day next to the hostel.
Additional attractions
Friday trip in Lower Silesia region. Cost: 25 €
per student (transport, meal & sightseeing
included).
How to get to Wroclaw?
It is easy to get to Wroclaw by plane – Wroclaw Airport is located 10 km from the city
centre, but also by train or by bus. Let us know about time of arrival and means of
transport . Polish students will pick you up and help you to get to the hostel or WSB.
We recommend you to arrive to Wroclaw on Sunday 30th March as the Business Week
programme starts on Monday morning.
