Eventhough the area has various activities, it is not sufficient to cover 1.2 million inhabitant needs. There are 3 centralities in this area
with most informal activities and one big shopping mall at the end point of the railway line. Khayelitsha has so many problems need
to be solved. Spatially marginalized, it is isolated from the rest of the city and from each other due to the distance from opportunities.

Was born at Jakarta, Indonesia on November 14th, 1981, Sigit Kusumawijaya has finished several design projects especially in architecture and graphic design, cinematography project and some music project.
Graduated from University of Indonesia majoring Architecture with Bachelor of Architecture degree and currently is doing his Master program at Delft University of Technology (TU Delft) majoring Urbanism, Sigit posses strong interpersonal skill, has a satisfactory academic records and has been demonstrating sound leadership. He work well in teams and is comfortable to communicate with people from various levels in the society.
With his experience, he also has proven his talent and skills during his internship with T.R. Hamzah & Yeang Sdn. Bhd. (Ken Yeang) participates on Malaysia grand project, Malaysia Design & Technology Centre, and at Andra Matin Architects where he was employed as a project architect for medium scale projects.
With his colleagues he founded Komunitas Belajar Desain or Design Learning Community --an open designers community for young designers, artists, architects and other design practitioners--that discuss and exhibit their works regularly, and he is currently as its Public Relation & Publication for this community.
