As Wireless Communications Become Ubiquitous & Provide More Capabilities - Presentation Transcript
As wireless communications become ubiquitous and provide more capabilities, our
research aims to deliver new wireless and antenna products and services for economic
development, national security and sustainability.
The Wireless Technologies Laboratory at the ICT Centre has Australia’s leading wireless
R&D capability. Together with key industrial partners, we deliver new and improved use of
the available spectrum, “last mile” wireless solutions, and next generation imaging and
sensing technologies.
Wireless Technologies Laboratory
The Laboratory’s specific areas of expertise include:
* Networking Science – architecture, design and optimization of wireless and fixed
communication networks.
* Antennas and Propagation – electromagnetic design and optimization of the air
interface and characterization of the communications medium.
* Communication Theory and Signal Processing – algorithms, protocols and coding
for the optimal transmission and recovery of information in a communications system.
* Microwave and mm-wave Techniques – design, simulation and characterization of
components and systems for operation at frequencies beyond 30 GHz
