5 Ways 2 Save Money At College Document Transcript

  • 1. 5 Ways to Save Money at College
College is expensive. It’s obvious at this point, but you can still save some more money. Check out these 5 tips to help fatten your wallet.
    Buy Used
Textbooks cost an arm and a leg even if they aren’t about physiology. Check out eBay, Amazon and Craigslist for used books and other items you may need along the way.
    Sell Used
Don’t need those books anymore? Get some of your money back. Going back to sites like eBay, Amazon and Craigslist to sell your things will bring in much needed cash. Do you even use that bean bag chair anymore?
    Tuition Assistance Programs
Some companies will help pay for your schooling. Check with your employer to see if they have a tuition reimbursement program that you can take advantage of. If your degree relates to your career, your employer might pay for part of the schooling that will make you a better employee.
    Eat In
Eating out with friends or the frequent take-out can burn a hole in your budget. Buying groceries and preparing meals at home will save you money. Take it a step further: skip the daily latte and make your own coffee. You’ll be surprised how much you save in a month.
    Get Scholarships
Start your search now for programs and then find and apply for scholarships to help make college more affordable.
