      • The process of improving the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines via "natural" search results.

      • Google’s link analysis algorithm that measures a sites importance.

    • Density
      • The % of key words relative to the total number of words on a given page.
    • Frequency
      • The # of times a key word appears in a Web page.
    • Proximity
      • This refers to how close together the key words are.
    • Prominence
      • Search engines prefer you to use key words near the top of your Web page in locations such as in the title and heading tags.
