  •
  • A hollow file; Elastic; Compressible; Made of nickel-titanium lattice
  • The SAF is used as a single instrument to achieve complete 3D root canal shaping, cleaning and Irrigation .
  • “ Sand Paper”
    • Abrasive Surface
    • Pressure
    • Repeated Motion
    SAF Mode of Action
  • Roughness : 2.8 µm ± 10% 1. Abrasive surface
  • 2. Compression The hollow design enables the SAF to be elastically compressed along its cross section (A) when inserted into a canal previously negotiated with a no. 20 K file (B).
  • 3. Gradual Expansion Attempting to expand, the SAF applies light continuous pressure along the entire circumference of the root canal wall.
  • 4. Repeated Motion Operated with a gentle vertical vibration 5,000 strokes per minute, the file achieves a gradual enlargement of the root canal 0.4 mm
  • 5. Adapting to the Canal in 3D The SAF is extremely flexible and pliable. It does not impose its shape on the canal but rather complies with the canal’s original shape. This is true both longitudinally (A) and circumferentially (B). The long axis of the canal is kept at it’s original place throughout the length of the canal (A) (B)
  • Adaptation to Longitudinal Curvature
  • Mandibular Incisor Adaptation to the Cross Section

  • 6. Continuous irrigation The SAF’s hollow design allows for continuous irrigation of the root canal through its lumen
  • Continuous Irrigation with Activation & Scrubbing
  • Rinsing Scrubbing
  • 7. Safety in Use High Durability : No File Separation
