Develop & Experiment!

Unit 1
Coursework Portfolio 60%
Thematic projects such as Texture, Portraiture, investigating the work of influential photographers.
Develop your research and technical skills.
Experiment with materials and methods.
Develop your ideas & techniques.

Analyse your own work and the work of others in contemporary, historical & cultural contexts.

Unit 2
Controlled Assignment 40%
1st February you get a question paper with thematic suggestions on.
You choose what you are interested in and have 6 weeks to prepare for a 5 hour controlled period to develop your ideas.

We will cover:
Using digital & film SLR cameras.
Digital imaging (Photoshop & iphoto)
Dark room developing of b&w prints.
The historical & cultural development of photography.
How to observe & analyse the work of photographers.
