TRIM CALCULATION<br />LCB At LWL = 1.12 m aft of amidship<br />LCG of total ship = 1.29 m aft of amidship<br />Displacement of the Ship = 123.48 tonne<br />At LWL,<br /> MCT1m = 189.77 tonne-m<br /> C.F. = 1.22 m aft of amidship<br /> Draft = 1.5 m<br />[The value of LCB,MCT1m,C.F. are taken from the Hydrostatic Calculations earlier in the design procedure]<br />
  37. 37. TRIM CALCULATION<br />Now,Amount of Trim={(1.29-1.12)*123.48}/189.77 <br /> = 0.1106 m So,<br />Change in Trim aft= 0.05 mChange in Trim Forward= 0.06 m<br />Therefore, resulting<br /> Draft Forward= 1.5+0.06 = 1.56 m<br /> Draft Aft= 1.5- 0.05 = 1.45 m<br />
