Example of Synthesizing from more than one source The most consistent research over a period of twenty-five years has been undertaken in Canada by Gardner and Lambert at McGill University (Gardner and Lambert, 1998: 12) and later by Gardner and his colleagues at the University of Western Ontario in London, Ontario (for example, Gardner, 2000; Gardner and Smythe, 2002).
