  • This tutorial will show you how to search the library’s catalog for ebooks, read and download e-books, and transfer e-books to e-readers.
  • - Catalyst will eventually become the libraries new online catalog. It is currently available in BETA format, but its e-book search is very simple to use.-
  • Under "Format" select "Book”
  • Now select “Online” under “Format” on the left side tool barOnce both “book” and “online” are selected under Format you may begin your e-book search.
  • Simplytype in your search query, either by title, author, or subject or do a key word search using the “any field” option. It is important to note that search results will be sorted by relevancy. However, you can easily change this by using the drop down box next to the “Sort By” box and selecting either: Relevance, Year, Author, or title.- You may also narrow your search results by using the limiters available on the left side of the pageYou may narrow your search by author, language, topic, series, or discipline. To limit by date, select publication year and use the date slide bar to limit to a specific time frame.
  • Once you find an e-book that you are interested in, simply click on its title to be redirected to its full holding page.
  • Here you will be able to export the e-book’s citation to RefWorks

  • In order to read an EBL e-book you must have Adobe Reader installed on your computer. Adobe Reader is a free software available from Adobe and can be downloaded from the EBL homepage. To read the book online, simply click the blue “Read online” button on the bottom left side of the page.
