The migration activity is led by Shabbir Husen (business lead), Abedin Dalal & M. Asad (IT lead) and is duly supported by all team leads and Core team. So far the Core team has performed 16 migrations since the start of project and migration team has continuously improved the process and end to end completion time of the full activity. The migration process involved extracting data from Tandem and various other sources being maintained today and uploading this to the new core banking system, Flexcube. IT team has put in excellent efforts and developed various utilities & reports to facilitate this migration process to make it easier for the business team to and review & verify data. The entire process of migration takes 24 hours end to end and it involves migration of 950,000 customer profiles, 850,000 accounts, and 120,000 asset contracts. Various check points have been established to perform financial & static checking at different stages of migration using automated tools as well as manual checking done by the core team & line management of different areas. The key milestone of the migration activity is the checking & confirmation of trial balance which is done by Finance team (led by Mr. Salman Liaquat & Amir Zaveri) being the most critical stakeholder in migration. Final stage of migration involves review & approval by various key stakeholders from business & operations team & Project working group (PWG) of the project. Salman Liaquat, SVP Finance, emphasized the criticality of migration and said, “This is the most crucial and sensitive stage of project especially securing the financial data integrity. We have a good comfort level after review of last few mock results.” Furthermore, Core banking team was invited to present launch plans, key activities, at the Corporate Banking Offsite held on 21st June 2008. M. Ibrahim Iqbal, Head of Project gave a presentation to Corporate Banking team covering overall project road map, status of project, key features of Flexcube and Go Live plans.
