  2. who is sheishelen? sheishelen is a professional identity representing Helen as a graphic designer. Because she is often judged by her young and petite appearance, people associate her as childish and inexperience; hence she wishes to present herself professionally soley by her creativity and skills. Further conceptualisation concludes that it is a natural instinct to develop an impression of the individuals from seeing their full names; for example, surnames are given hints of the person’s cultural background. Since the society dictates the perceptions on how everyone sees each other, therefore the objective of creating a discreet identity is to prevent people from stereotyping and “defining your brand’s story for you”. (David Brier) The branding concept of sheishelen emphasises typography and white space, which depicts Helen’s creative eyes and brain. The tonality of sheishelen is narrated in third person perspective because it is less emotional and personal. She believes speaking in first person will easily reveal her personal characteristics. sheishelen only desires people to know her through her talents and be convinced of her originality. Through different social media platforms, sheishelen is to be developed into a more dynamic persona which empowers her to express her voice and her story in the creative world.

Elegance. Usability. The brand concept of sheishelen is captured by beautiful white space and simple typography. The brand continually emphasises her innovative vision and thinking by maintaining a consistent message through her designs — her talents and expertise. positioning statement sheishelen is a graphic designer doing what she loves best, specialising in editorial and print designs which accentuate simplicity and relevancy.
  4. Blog posts The purpose of blogging is to document and share Helen’s inspirations or any design related content. Wordpress blog is to be updated regularly.
