Say NO to GMOs!
What are
 Genetically Modified Organisms are
experimental plants or animals that have been
genetically engineered in a labratory with DNA
from other plants, animals, bacteria, & viruses.
These experimental combinations of genes from
different species cannot occur in nature or in
traditional crossbreeding.
 Virtually all GMOs are engenered to withstand
direct application of herbicide and / or produce
an insecticide.
 GMO foods have
been around since
the late1990’s.
Are GMOs Safe?
The fact is that there is NO LONG TERM
TESTING done on GMOs and their effect on
the human race.
 Rats fed lifetime of
GM corn grow
horrifying tumors
and 70% of
females die early.
 Even squirrels know
its not suppose to
be eaten.
Not to Mention…
 Most developed nations do not
consider GMOs to be safe. In more
than 60 countries around the
world, including Australia, Japan,
and all of the countries in the
European Union, there are
significant restrictions or outright
bans on the production and sale of
GMOs.
 In the U.S., the government has
approved GMOs based on studies
conducted by the same
corporations that created them
and profit from their sale.
Monsanto is Evil
 Monsanto has
been in the poison
game for a long
time.
 GMO food can
be patented.
 Monsanto’s
Roundup is killing
bees by the million
– and we can’t
live without bees.
“If you control the food supply, you control the people.” – Henry Kissinger
Did You Know…
In 2001 Epicyte Corporation isolated a protein that
causes sterility and spliced its genes into corn so that
men and women eating the corn would become sterile.
Guess who bought that from them? MONSANTO DID.
To date No congressperson, No Senator, and No
Presidential candidate has dared to ask WHY?
Instead, they mandated that all corn needs to be
bought from Monsanto. Is it just me, or does that not sit
well with you either?
Linked to Cancer, Autism, and Parkinson’s
Glyphosate, the active ingredient in
Roundup, is the most popular
herbicide used worldwide. Monsanto
asserts it is not toxic to humans, but
here a new study proves otherwise.
When we take into account of the
significant increase in Autism,
something very profound emerges.
 One in 150 kids
were diagnosed on Autism Spectr
um in 2007
 One in 100 kids
were diagnosed Autism Spectrum i
n 2009
 One in 50 kids
were diagnosed on Autism Spectr
um in Mar. 2013.
 The rate was 1 in 10,000 in 1970
.

Are You Eating GMOs?
 Did you know that 80% of
processed foods in your
standard grocery store are
GMO? Most people are
eating GMO and are
completely unaware about
it.
 In the United States, 94% of
soy, 88% of corn, 90% of
canola, 95% of sugar beets,
25,000 acres of zucchini
and yellow crook neck
squash and almost all
Hawaiian papaya are now
genetically modified.
How To Keep your diet GMO-Free
 Go Organic! The USDA prohibit GMOs, so shopping organic is a great way to
avoid them. Plus, organic foods have (fewer) or no pesticides, herbicides and
fungicides, and have a higher vitamin and mineral content as well.
 Load up on Fruits and Veggies. (Most fresh produce is non GMO, ask your local
farmer!)
 Look for Non-GMO verified label.
 Join a local activist group to bring awareness to more people!
 Beware of additives – corn, canola, soy, cotton and sugar beets. (In the form of corn
syrup, oil, sugar, flavoring agents, or thickeners)
 Choose wild caught seafood. (Farm raised fish are feed GMO)
 Say NO to at risk ingredients. Skip soybeans, canola, cottonseed, corn and sugar
from sugar beets.
 Call ahead before eating out. The next time you plan a nice dinner out, beware of
"invisible ingredients" like soy sauce, cooking oil and salad dressing, which might
contain genetically modified ingredients.
 Focus on Fiber. Most grains, seeds, nuts and beans are non-gmo.
 Avoid aspertame. An ingredient in diet sodas and low-calorie "sweets," aspartame
is indeed genetically modified.
Take a Deep Breathe!
Start with baby steps! Don't
feel overwhelmed -- just do
the best you can. Start by
eliminating GMOs for just a
couple of weeks and pay
close attention to your
health, weight, energy and
mood.
AND SPREAD THE WORD!
