What Does Malaria Do?Malaria is mosquito born infectious disease that kills around 1,000,000 people each year. Most cases start with fever and headache, but many progress to coma or death. 90% of malaria related deaths happen in Sub-Saharan Africa, with the majority of deaths being young children.
What is their mission?The mission of Nothing But Nets is to providepeople, mostly children with the proper netsand education to stop the spread of malaria.
Who do they help?Nothing But Nets is to stop the spread ofmalaria. When I made this slide they haddonated 4,247,643 nets but it is alwayschanging. They spend the money on buyingnets, shipping them to people, and teachingthem how to properly use them.
Where are they located?They are a global organization.
Where does their money come from?It mostly comes from people that donate, 100%of donations go straight to the cause becausetheir administrative costs are covered by theUnited Nations.
What would money do?$1,600 would buy 160 nets, $800 would buy 80nets, $400 would but 40 nets. =
Why should we choose it?We should choose it because with the moneywe have, it would be good for 100% of money togo the cause. Also, the union for reformJudaism, which Temple Habonim is a part of, isin partnership with Nothing But Nets.
