    • Anima- the inner feminine side of a man.
      • Unconscious Mind

    • Eros in the man. Identification with the actual mother of the man.

    • Stages Of Anima:
      • EVE:Males Object Of Desire
      • Helen:Show a strong schism in external talents with lacking internal qualities
      • Mary: Religious Feelings and Relationships
      • Sophia:This form of the anima brings to consciousness the contents of the unconscious
  • 4. Animus
    • Animus- the inner masculine side of a woman
      • It corresponds to Logos, the trend toward logic and reason
    • In the negative form, it corresponds to rigid opinions, collective beliefs and even unconscious assumptions that the woman claims to be absolute truth.
    • If the woman identifies too closely with the animus, she is said to be possessed by it, and she is in danger of losing her femininity.
    • Stages Of Animus
      • The Athlete:Embodiment of physical power.
      • The Planner: Capacity for independence, planned action, and initiative
      • The Professor:It embodies "the Word."
      • The Guide:Highest level of mediation between the unconscious and conscious
  • 5. Active Imagination
    • How Anima and Animus work within one’s Mind
      • A method of assimilating unconscious contents (dreams, fantasies, etc.) through some form of self-expression.
      • The first stage of active imagination is like dreaming with open eyes. It can take place spontaneously or be artificially induced
      • The second stage, beyond simply observing the images, involves a conscious participation in them
