    • We train volunteers to tutor one-on-one or with small groups of students who live or work in Montgomery County.
    • We provide all books at no charge to tutor or student.
    • We provide ongoing support for the most positive volunteer experience.
  • Volunteer Tutor Expectations
    • As a Literacy Council Volunteer Tutor, you will:
    • Meet with your student(s) two hours per week;
    • Enjoy flexible volunteering by setting your own schedule and tutoring location to meet with your student(s);
    • Make a direct impact on your community while gaining new skills for yourself!
    • No Teaching Experience?
    • Prospective tutors need NO prior experience in education.
