  • Better workforce planning and improving peoples livesThe CfWI held its national conference – Better workforce planning and improving peoples lives – in Workshops focused on a range of workforce planning topics – from Planning forLondon on 10 October and Leeds on 12 October. Over 300 delegates and guests gathered to discuss personalisation in social care to Integrated healthcare: the perspective from Finland.workforce planning for health and social care. Mental health perspectives on workforce matters were provided by Lord Victor Adebowale, The events were opened by Peter Sharp, Chief Executive of Chief Executive of Turning Point, and Emeritus Professor John Copeland, Chairman of the Great the CfWI, Dame Professor Carol Black, Chair of the CfWI Push for Mental Health in strategic alliance with the Movement for Global Mental Health. Peter Governance Board, and Roy Taylor CBE, member of the CfWI Sharp and Rafael Popper, Director of the iKnow Project, University of Manchester, discussed Governance Board, and closed by Professor Jim Buchan, the CfWI approach to horizon scanning.
