Math <ul><li>The subjects you learn during the year are </li></ul><ul><li>Give factors, multiples, integer amounts and square roots for numbers. </li></ul><ul><li>Compare and order decimals, fractions and integers. </li></ul><ul><li>Add and sub tract integers. </li></ul><ul><li>Be able to perform multi-step word problems for all of the above operations. </li></ul><ul><li>Add, subtract, multiply and divide fractions </li></ul><ul><li>Subjects continued.. </li></ul>

Math Continued <ul><li>Use measurement terms appropriately, be able to measure a variety of items at home and at school. </li></ul><ul><li>Be able to solve more complex problems with measurement estimations an problems using a variety of formulas. </li></ul><ul><li>Estimate and calculate areas for trapezoids, parallelograms, triangles, prisms circles using the correct formulas. Basic Geometry. </li></ul><ul><li>Pre-Algebra </li></ul>

Pre-Algebra <ul><li>Extend, analyze and justify the explanations for patterns and their rules and a more complex level. </li></ul><ul><li>Be able to write algebraic equations/expressions and write statements to understand simple formulas. </li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate a variety of simple linear algebraic expressions at a beginning level. 1 variable and first-degree </li></ul><ul><li>Complex Fractions </li></ul><ul><li>Factoring </li></ul>

Algebra <ul><li>Extend, analyze and justify the explanations for patterns and their rules and a more complex level. </li></ul><ul><li>Be able to write algebraic equations/expressions </li></ul><ul><li>Evaluate a variety of simple linear algebraic expressions at a beginning level. </li></ul><ul><li>Be able to solve and simplify algebraic equations with the 4 operations. </li></ul><ul><li>Substitute natural numbers for variables </li></ul><ul><li>Graphing </li></ul><ul><li>Complex Factoring </li></ul>
  • 10. Homework <ul><li>I will assign about 30-40 minutes of homework every night. </li></ul><ul><li>Your homework is due each morning. </li></ul><ul><li>Homework must be neat!!! </li></ul><ul><li>I will only assign homework on </li></ul><ul><li>the weekends if needed. </li></ul>
  • 11. School Stuff <ul><li>School starts at 8:35 A.M. </li></ul><ul><li>If you aren’t in the classroom by the time the second bell rings, please check in at the school office. </li></ul><ul><li>If you are tardy four times, the school will contact your parents. </li></ul>
