    • 2. injury- noun -damage or harm done to a person or thing Robert collapsed as the pain roared through his body. Unfortunately, his football injury required surgery.
    • 3. mournful- adjective -Feeling, expressing, or filled with grief or sorrow. The mournful town folks grieved over various events.
    • 4. sympathy noun. The ability to share the feelings of another or others. The onlookers felt great sympathy for Cheryl because they knew what it felt like to have their feelings hurt.

    • 6. delivering verb . Taking or carrying something to a particular place or person. We will be delivering important items to people’s homes.
    • 7. slurp verb . To eat or drink noisily. It is impolite to slurp your food or drink, especially in public!!
    • 8. shrieks verb . Makes loud, shrill cries or sounds. The fans went completely wild, the shrieks filled the stadium as The Beatles took the stage.
    • 9. decency noun . Proper behavior, as in speech, actions, and dress. Charlie had the decency to admit he made a mistake. His friends forgave him after he bought them all lunch.
    • 10. Bulletin Board noun. A board for posting notices, announcements, and pictures. The bulletin board was helpful to the public.
