Transcript of "production of front cover"

  1. 1. Screen grabs for front cover
  2. 2. I produced mymagazine front coveron ‘Photoshop’. Istarted by opening upa A4 page and makingsure that the size ofthe canvas that I wasusing was the rightsize. I then uploadedthe picture that Iwanted as my mainimage and filled itacross the canvas.
  3. 3. I then used ‘Rockwell’ font to create the name of magazine. I used ageneral blending option to put a stroke of red around ‘Volume’ whichleft the name of the magazine with a unique title.
  4. 4. I then placed my positioning statement above the magazine namegiving it a different colour so that It stood out compared to themagazine name and could be seen. I also used a font size 11 so thatthe magazine name was the biggest font on the front cover.
  5. 5. I then used the rectangletool to create a blackrectangle box to placehere. Rectangle tool.
  6. 6. I then used a blending toolcalled bevel and emboss whichgave a back shadow to the maincover line ‘Coral is back’ thismade it look unique compared tothe other cover lines.
  7. 7. I then used the rectangletool again to make asmaller rectangle which Iput added informationabout what bands wherefeatured inside. I used whiteand red as this was part ofmy colour scheme. I alsoadded a barcode and issuenumber, date and the priceof the magazine as this wassignificant information thatthe audience needed toknow in order to purchase amagazine.
  8. 8. I then added all of my coverlines making sure that I useddifferent font and size so thatthey did not stand out as muchas the main cover line and thename of the magazine. I madesure that I kept to my colourscheme of red, white andblack. I then saved my finishedproduct as a JPEG.
