About Hawaii island  Hawaii Island is 4,028 sq. miles  Home to one of the world's most active volcanoes and the world's tallest sea mountain.  There are six major islands to visit in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii Island.  In 1898, Hawaii became a territory of the United States.  1,500 years ago, Polynesians from the Marquesas Islands first set foot on Hawaii Island.  Rise to the art of the hula and the sport of surfing.  The attack on Pearl Harbor,Hawaii on December 7, 1941, United States' entry into World War II.
  • 3. Why Hawaii ?  The fresh, floral air energizes you.  Breathtaking, natural beauty.  A variety of climatic zones, from seasonal snowcapped mountains to black sand beaches, stretch across its vast topography.  Rich in art and culture.  Ohhhh yes it's amazing adventures.
  • 4.  A fusion of many cuisines, particularly of American, Chinese, Filipino, Japanese, Korean, Polynesian and Portuguese origins  Hawaii's official state flower,is a yellow hibiscus.  Hawaii designated Kalo(taro) as the official state plant  The nene, or Hawaiian goose was designated the official state bird of Hawaii  The hula was designated the official state dance of Hawaii
