  2.  September 13, 1819 Leipzig, Saxony, Germany
  3.  Played piano Taught by her father Played for famous musicians in which she was inspired.
  4.  Studied music theory, had singing lessons and studied French and English. In 1834, was sent to a school in Dresden, Germany to study voice and instrumentation.
  5.  Successful pianist, made own business arrangements, composed music and taught piano to other students. Married Robert Schumann (pianist) and they had 8 children.
  6.  Performed for the czar and czarina of Russia. Became an Honorary Member of the St. Petersburg Philharmonic Society. Composed four compositions.
  7.  Wanted the world to appreciate how beautiful music was.
  8.  Died on May 20th, 1896 at age 76. Died from a stroke.
