Ghost Effect Presentation Transcript

  • 1. Ghost Effect
  • 2. Copy Background Layer
    • You don’t want to work in your Background layer,
    • use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+J
    • In the new layer dialog box name your layer desaturated
  • 3. Desaturate The Background Copy Layer
    • With my "desaturated" layer selected in the Layers palette
    • Use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Shift+U
    • Your image should be black and white
  • 4. Copy layer
    • Copy your desaturated layer use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl+Alt+J
    • In the new layer dialog box name your layer motion blur
  • 5. Motion Blur
    • Go to Filter>Blur>Motion Blur
    • Set angle to 0
    • And distance to 95
  • 6. Your image should look something like this
  • 7. Add Layer Mask
    • With the "motion blur" layer selected, click on the "Add Layer Mask" icon at the bottom of the Layers palette
  • 8. Revealing your face
    • Click on your brush tool or push B on your keyboard
    • Then press D to make sure your foreground color is black
    • At the top of your screen in the Options Bar and set the opacity to 10%
    • Your picture should look similar to that >
  • 9. Apply Diffuse Glow Filter
    • Merge all three layers by using the shortcut Shift+Ctrl+Alt+E
    • Go to FILTER>DISTORT>DIFFUSE GLOW
    • Change Graininess to 3 ,
    • Glow Amount to 10 ,
    • Clear Amount 10
  • 10. Add a Solid Fill Color
    • Click on the New Fill Or Adjustment Layer icon at the bottom of the Layers palette
    • And pick solid color
  • 11. Final Step
    • Choose the color you wish to use. I chose green.
    • Change the layer blend mode to color
    • And the opacity to 11%
  • 12. And there you have it the ghost effect!
