  • 2. • Dairy farming is a class of agricultural, or an animal husbandry, enterprise, for long-term production of milk, usually from dairy cows but also from goats, sheep and camels, which may be either processed on-site or transported to a dairy factory for processing and eventual retail sale.
  • 3. • The growth and development of dairy farming has its roots in europe, where the climate is suitable for natural pasture • Dairy farms need a large labour force to look after the cattle. At present, machines are widely used for milking, feeding and cleaning the cattle. Huge capital investments are thus needed
