  • 7. Teacher Responsibility Teachers commit to adopting practices that regularly integrate technology with teaching and learning.

How Am I Going to Learn How to Implement Technology Into My Lessons? <ul><ul><li>Participate in a minimum of 2 days of vendor-sponsored Classrooms for the Future hands-on professional development. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Participate in a minimum of 30 hours per year of additional professional development on PDE-mandated content through the “21st Century Teaching and Learning” Series Courses, a job-embedded, on-line and face-to-face program deployed at the participating school level. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Use their professional development experiences to integrate the technology appropriately into their practices. </li></ul></ul>What’s the Catch?
  • 9. PDE Professional Development Requirement Teachers involved in or impacted by CFF including teachers who will be getting fully equipped rooms and teachers who will receive some equipment are required to take a thirty hour course per year.
  • 10. Teaching in the 21 st Century- The Need for Change Year One Course <ul><li>The framework for changing teacher practice through sustained professional development with technology integration. </li></ul><ul><li>Completely Online. </li></ul><ul><li>Facilitator is provided for support. </li></ul><ul><li>It is not a technology training but instead how to use technology in your classroom. </li></ul><ul><li>Course can be taken for college credit. </li></ul><ul><li>College Credit will apply toward Master’s Degree in Education at Wilkes University. </li></ul><ul><li>After Five years of the required CFF courses half of the master’s program will be complete at Wilkes University. </li></ul><ul><li>Fee is Required for College Credit. </li></ul>

Role of Facilitator <ul><li>Support learner progress throughout the online course </li></ul><ul><li>Provide feedback as learners complete activities and apply the concepts in their instruction </li></ul><ul><li>Facilitate online or in-person end of unit discussions for each study group. </li></ul>
  • 12. Your Partner in the CFF Program The Coach <ul><li>The coach will provide “just in time,” imbedded and ongoing professional development for teachers, staff, and administration. </li></ul>
