Market Opportunity
The Saudi Arabian education market represents the largest industry in the region, and is regarded as the most lucrative market for
education services in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The Saudi Arabian government is a major contributor in the country's infrastructure development and continues to increase this
budget. The education sector has been consistently capturing more than 25% share of the total budget expenditure, which is the
highest in the world.
Saudi Arabia's budget for education and manpower development has seen a dramatic increase of 57% in the last four years
reaching a overwhelming annual spend of US$40 Billion.
Saudi Government allocated more than US$2 Billion in 2010 for building 49 technical colleges and 142 vocational centres across
the country.
The Financial Year 2011 budget included the construction of 610 new schools and the completion of over 3,200 school buildings.
The Kingdom has implemented a five-year, US$ 30 Billion effort to upgrade its science and technology infrastructure.
