There was,
and so much more!
They all had their own uniqueness, but..

Facebook changed the game!
It was the real people, very few fake profiles
You connected better!
Information passed around easily
Found your friend a lot easier
Simple interface even made it easier
‘The Wall’ was the summary of what’s happening with your friends!

There came Twitter!
Started off as a micro-blogging platform
Distribution was easy and simple!
Better than RSS
People started mentioning others
Became a great trending tool
Now people really have started chatting on Twitter! (Conversations??)

Then there were so many more..
There came Linked-In (Targeted on professional networking)
Foursquare (A location-based check-in service)
Google Plus (Took a better change on categorizing friends)
Checkin + (Another location-based check-in service)
And many others, evolving everyday!
Then social dashboards(relatively a new term) came in, to support the cause of ‘social networking!’

Made for Twitter in the beginning!

They were originally built for Twitter
Started adding all social feeds from Facebook, Myspace, Linked In to Foursquare and Google Plus soon!
It is neat; you have everything that is happening right in-front of you, on your desktop or your mobile!

The Problem:
Here’s my Tweetdeck!

The Problem:
There’s so much information; way too much!
How many entrees are really valuable to do me? How many of those would really influence me?
How much time do I waste going through everything to get through to something that would really interest me?
I follow Gary Vaynurchuck @garyvee; he inspires us very much, but how long do I spend trying to find tweets that matters to me?
If you don’t check your ‘Social Dashboard’ for 2 days, you don’t know what you are missing out on! Don’t even think about catching up.
It’s the same with facebook, Linked-In and all others!

It’s a thought! I don’t want to read it! If it was an article with facts, I would!
Ads as Mentions??? It’s not even targeted!
Ads on Direct Messages???
Would have been great if trends were targeted!

She’s hot, but it just keeps wasting my time!
This is not even Tom Baker’s. It’s about his friend’s. For what I need, I consider this junk (although Tom Baker is a good friend of mine!)

Facts!
You have so much information on your social stream that you don’t really want!
It takes so long to get to something that is worth reading!
Before, we were using blogs and RSS to syndicate and that’s long gone. People don’t really have time to blog about everything they come through so they tweet along with all the junk in between 2 good tweets!
The problem is there with Twitter, Facebook, Linked in, Myspace and all other social platforms.
When you share something on either of these platforms, there’s NO RECALL! You cannot find it 2 months later. If you do need to recall it later on, you have to bookmark it on your web browser
When you connect to someone, you are not connecting him for something specific about the person. You are connecting to everything that is out there about him!
Then there’s the issue in Privacy!

The bottom line is all these information is delivered to you randomly, uncategorized AND with no filtering on what is important and what is not!Now you need the solution!!

The Solution!
We took the simple idea of bookmarking!
Bookmarking on the browser is OK, because it has the category and the tags!
THE PROBLEM: You cannot get to it from a different computer, may be at school. Search is a bit difficult too.

Some facts about bookmarks..
You don’t bookmark something you don’t need; you always bookmark links pages that has information you want to recall or share
You never know when you are going to re-call them
Sharing is difficult with friends who you really want to share
You come across information (pages) you want to bookmark everyday!
Some of you even keep word documents of links
You cannot get to your bookmarks if you are not on one of your computers (Since firefox Sync solved issue of having synced data between your personal computers)
Everyone bookmarks everyday, you try to recall them everyday and it is a part of your education, work or whatever else you do!

We called bookmarks, ‘Hub Entrees!’
It’s a simple copy and paste!
You can have either private or public hub entrees
They are categorized regardless
Private Hub Entrees can only be seen by you!
Public Entrees can be followed by others
Public can follow Specific categories
You can search for people in specific categories and ‘Follow’ their entrees
You can ‘Rehub’ other’s entrees so you share it with your network
You can see most trending and most voted hub entrees

A New Global Stream
The new global stream has all the information that matters to you the most! You are not going to see anything that does not interest you!

Hub Entrees are easy!
You can easily copy and past the URL and it will gather all the content from the websites and you are able to add your side note as well.
