    • Digital 3D simulates the effect produced inside the human eye while perceiving a real three-dimensional object. The process is generated when each eye of the viewer receives an image from a different point of view, making the brain interpret the deepness fusing images together.
    • With the traditional cinema and television formats, the viewer looks around the whole screen in two axis (X,Y), restricting the ocular movement to a single plane. However, with the Digital 3D, the deepness of the sight appears, adding a third axis (X,Y,Z).

    • A new media to focus the viewers sight on
      • When composing a shot, we count on a powerful instrument: the closeness of the objects. Before, the creators needed to direct the viewer’s sight using the 2D composition. Now, we can use deepness to accentuate the element we want to emphasize.
    • Higher tendency of the viewer to receive the messages
      • This media requires the usage of glasses. When a viewer puts such elements on, there is a higher tendency of the viewer to receive the messages. The viewer is receptive to see the spot, just because of the immersion format of its exhibition.
    • Greater detail in the volume and shape of the objects
      • How many times we have heard it is not the same to see, for example, a car on television and personally. This is produced by the existing difference between watching an object in monoscopy and in stereoscopy. With this new format, this difference is shortened and the perception of shape and volume, with the improvement of definition and resolution thanks to the DCL standard, helps to have an optimum total perception.

    • According to” Variety”, there was a great increase of the quantity of digital cinemas with 3D ability during the year 2009.
