Notes on slide 1

Approach: As a group, we thought the freecycle.org site was innovative and intriguing. Our mission was to increase the freecycle.org membership in the Chicago and Evanston communities since those are the communities we have the best access to. About The Freecycle Network™: The Freecycle Network™ is the largest recycling and reuse website in the world. It is made up of many individual groups across the globe. It's a community-based and nonprofit movement of people who are giving (& getting) stuff for free in their own towns. Each local group is moderated by a local volunteer. Membership is free. It originated with Deron Beal, Toucson, AZ. Freecycle accepts corporate sponsorships and is currently sponsored by Waste Management, the California EPA, and Perkins Cole (law firm).
