Keyword density – Aim for 5 % for your phrase
Alt Tags – Help Google understand your images
Title Tags – Now really important DO NOT KEYWORD

The Title tag on the site is very important, it’s the first line people
see about your site in Google. Make it readable to humans not only
search engines. Use it to sell your business.

Still the most important factor in Google ranking
Social Media – Get involved in facebook & twitter
Directory submissions for citations – be very cautious only use
directories still indexed by Google.
Articles – not as important but still work
Check your competitors backlinks – see where you can get links

Over optimisation penalty
