PoolParty PowerTagging and sOnr are add-ons for Atlassian Confluence. They provide features to annotate and categorize content automatically. sOnr is a collaborative tool for market observer and trend scouts. User benefit from semantic search, automatic text analysis, entity extraction, sentiment analysis, faceted search and content recommendation. Its basis is built by thesauri and controlled vocabularies which are maintained with PoolParty Server.

  6. 6. PoolParty Semantic Suite
  7. 7. PowerTagging for Confluence Automatic tagging based on thesauri Automatic linking to similar documents PowerTagging supports the creation and maintenance of consistent semantic metadata, based on controlled enterprise vocabularies.
  8. 8. Why PowerTagging? Consistent tagging: automatic use of synonyms Semantic search Precise content recommendation
  9. 9. Similar content macros https://sonr.semantic-web.at/display/BLOG/Solectria+Renewables+solar+panels+chosen+for+N+American+airport+project Related content from Wikipedia & from the same space or another space is inserted automatically, based on the text analysis of the current page. Content analysis builds the basis for recommendation of / linking to other content
  10. 10. PowerTagging configuration Connect with PoolParty Server (cloud or on-premises) Set global limits for PowerTagging, like max. number of tags Select thesauri and languages to be used for PowerTagging Run batch jobs like indexing of whole spaces
  11. 11. sOnr webmining sOnr is the collaborative solution for market observers
  12. 12. Why sOnr webmining?  Web mining fully integrated with Confluence  Automatic content harvesting from the web (sOnr agents)  Collaborative marketing monitoring: harvested content can be tagged, commented, flagged, liked, etc.  Internal Twitter-like system: create your own sOnr ping!  Highly precise automatic classification of content (based on taxonomies and thesauri)  Semantic search & Watchdogs (configurable search queries)  Search for similar content  Trend analysis sOnr is a social and a semantic platform
  13. 13. sOnr features Set agents to mine the web Use watchdogs to filter information Seach factes Autocomplete & query expansion Good news / bad news recogition Similarity search Trend analysis Harvested content is pushed into Confluence and can be used for further actions
  14. 14. sOnr and its 3 content types sOnr agents generate content automtically sOnr generates topic pages as mash-ups dynamically (coming soon) Users generate sOnr pings (similar to twitter)
  15. 15. sOnr: collaborative web mining Like with any other content from Confluence, sOnr seach results can be tagged, liked, commented, forwarded, watched etc.
  16. 16. Create sOnr pings: enterprise ‘twitter’
  17. 17. FAQs #1  Can I use PowerTagging for my already exisiting spaces?  Yes, whole spaces can be semantically indexed with PowerTagging in a batch mode  What if changes are made on the taxonomy side?  New labels or changes made on the labels can be synced automatically with the tags used within Confluence  For which versions of Confluence does PowerTagging work?  At the moment, it works for 5.0 – 5.1.5  Does PowerTagging index and annotate only the pages or also the attachments?  Both is analyzed and annotated
  18. 18. FAQs #2  How does PowerTagging content recommendation work?  There are two macros which can be used to show similar documents (to a given page) from any other space, or also related content from Wikipedia. This automatic recommendation is based on the ‘semantic footprint’ of a page which was calculated in the background when adding a page.  Are there any limits regarding size?  PowerTagging can handle around 4 pages per second when indexing whole spaces. No other limits are known.  Is there a free version of PowerTagging?  Yes, some pre-installed thesauri and extractors can be used for the free version of PowerTagging. When a customized module for text analysis is needed, then two versions can be obtained: cloud service and on-premises variant.  Can I use different thesauri for different spaces?  Yes, for each space another thesaurus can be used for PowerTagging of your Confluence content.
  19. 19. FAQs #3  Is PowerTagging using its own search engine?  No, PowerTagging is fully integrated with Confluence’s internal (Lucene) search engine, whereas sOnr installs its own (Solr based) search engine to provide advanced search facilities like faceted search  What if changes are made on the taxonomy side?  New labels or changes made on the labels can be synced automatically with the tags used within Confluence  For which versions of Confluence does PowerTagging work?  At the moment, it works for 5.0 – 5.1.5  Does PowerTagging index and annotate only the pages or also the attachments?  Both is analyzed and annotated
  20. 20. FAQs #4  Can I edit the tags which were created by PowerTagging?  Yes, the user can improve the automatically generated tags. Therefore an auto-complete function is provided to use labels rather from the controlled vocabulary than free tags.  Do I need sOnr to run PowerTagging?  No. PowerTagging can be operated independently from sOnr. Already created taxonomies can be used by both add-ons.  Can I operate sOnr without PowerTagging?  No, sOnr is an optional additional module for PowerTagging customers. It is installed together with PowerTagging.  Can PowerTagging handle multilinguality?  Yes, for each space another thesaurus and therefore another language can be used.
