  • 2.  One of most popular marketing medium is Social Media.  Facebook was founded in February 2004 by Mark Zuckerberg.  Anyone ages 13 or over can register on Facebook.  As of September 2012, Facebook has over one billion active users.  There are over 1,000,000 links shared on Facebook in every 20 minutes.  Around 150 million people visit Facebook Pages every day.
  • 3. How to utilize Facebook  Great piece of content with well-edited photos Here your responsibility should be providing effectively written content with well-edited photos. Volume is not everything on Facebook, you consistently need to deliver quality content to your readers. Each time you need more than just an interesting subject.  Be better with brief Short and simple messages stand out on Facebook, but make sure if you have long message then it would be highly compelling and engaging.  Quality audience Rather you target audience on Facebook, it would be better to increase collaboration with small but quality group of people. This will increase your engagement and your value as a great contributor.  Check your fan behavior on regular basis It is necessary to measure the impact of how your fans are interacting with your content. Check page insights regularly.
  • 4.  Twitter emerged as one of the popular social media as well as micro-blogging platform.  Twitter was launched in July 2006 by Jack Dorsey, Evan Williams, Biz Stone and Noah Glass.  Twitter enable us to send and read “tweets” which are limited to 140 characters.  Twitter has 500 million registered users in 2012 who posted around 340 million tweets each day.  Today more and more small businesses use Twitter to share, promote and drive word of mouth communication about their businesses.  77% of the top 100 companies have a Twitter account.
  • 5. How to utilize Twitter  Tell an interesting story through your tweets Keep your voice consistent to tell the story of your business and brand. Your each tweet should be worth, compelling and engaging.  Utilize hashtage (#) Use 1 or 2 relevant hashtags(#) with your each tweet, makes it easy for people to find your content. Creating hashtag(#) and linking it to an authentic and quality resource is better technique to utilize.  Measure engagement It is advisable to tweet your original and informative contents and keep regular watch on what content get more shares. This would give you hint about people interest.  Live tweet It would be good if you provide the live tweet coverage of events happening at your business floor. This makes your brand live and increase online presence.
  • 6.  YouTube is popular video sharing platform.  Initially YouTube was created by three former PayPal employees ( Chad Hurley, Steve Chen, and Jawed Karim) in February 2005 and owned by Google since late 2006.  More than 1 billion users visits YouTube each month.  Over 6 billion hours of video are watched each month on YouTube.  100 hours of video are uploaded to YouTube every minute.  70% of YouTube traffic comes from outside the US.
  • 7. How to utilize YouTube  Enable video embedding Allow other users to post your video on their blog or websites. Make sure that you have embedding is enabled.  Create mix videos Generating each time business videos would certainly decrease taste of your regular visitors. Showcasing homegrown video along with professional video is best practice that each time increase curiosity in your readers reading your next video.  Stop talking, Show action Demonstrating your products or services in action is much more effective than you just talk. Such strategy is proven to increase user engagement.  Keep it short Audience behavior can be measure in seconds even for video content. It is recommended to keep your video short simple, full of actions that demonstrate your product and services efficiently.
  • 8. LinkedIn is a social networking platform for people in professional occupations.  LinkedIn was founded in Dec 2002 and launched on May 5, 2003.  As of June 2013, LinkedIn has more than 225 million users in more than 200 countries and territories.  LinkedIn is available in 20 different languages.  As of July 2013, LinkedIn has 65.6 million monthly unique visitors from US and 178.4 million from globally.  LinkedIn was founded by Reid Hoffman, Allen Blue, Konstantin Guericke, Eric Ly and Jean-Luc Vaillant.

How to utilize LinkedIn  Create your company (business) page Company page service from LinkedIn enable you to share varied types of content, but still there are many brands are surprisingly absent on LinkedIn. Install your company page in, update it regularly with informative contents, and add quality information and start promoting.  Encourage staff members to participate in People working at your company can connect their personal profiles to your business, sharing new content from members will increase your brand value as well as people will notice your brand.  Create group and invite people to join your group Creating group in LinkedIn and inviting people to join it can increase your readers. Participating in other group discussion is a great way to increase your business awareness and coming up with striking conversation could generate new business for you.  Focus on quality, not in quantity Over-share usually overwhelmed peoples.   • 10. Google Plus is a social networking platform owned and operated by Google Inc.  Google+ is second-largest social networking platform in the world.  As of May 2013, Google+ has around 500 million registered users of whom 235 million are active in given month.  LinkedIn is available in 20 different languages.  As on January 26, 2012, Google+ was available as a website and on mobile devices.  Google+ was used by 30% of smartphone users between April–June 2013, making it the fourth most used app.

Hashtag help you get your post discovered through search, while + feature help you get the attention of individuals and brands. Proper use of use these features helps your audience find you.  Add quality people in your circle Add people in circle having same taste. This would help you move your business in right way. Share informative content, would more likely to be appreciate by circle.  Encourage staff member to participate Influence your reader providing them good content.
