1. Atharva Vedic Spiritual Solutions for Love, Sex, Relationship, Marriage Problems
Venus is the first planet which is checked in a horoscope by most of the astrologers when it comes to
love affairs. Whether it is Love at first sight or Love after 3 months, the role of Venus is very important in
deciding the beginning, nature and longevity of a love affair. There are many types of love affairs
including the ones that start with physical attraction and end up very soon with the end of the attraction
or with the start of a new physical attraction. Then there are “Made for each other” kind of love affairs
which may start at first sight or may take their time to develop, but once established, they continue to
grow stronger and stronger. Then there are some attractions which are one sided and always remain
that way. Even though one of the two persons involved in this situation may actually start liking or loving
the other person very much, but there may be no response from the other end or a cold response or at
the most “We can be good friends” kind of response. Similarly there are many other kinds of examples,
but there is only one thing common in all of them, and that is none other than the influence of Venus.

relationship. But does it have anything to do with the past lives of the persons involved in a love affair.
Can most of the long lasting love relationships be called Karmic Relationships which are based on the
Karmas of past lives? Does the desire to want or love someone so badly have anything to do with the
past lives? Let's try to find the answers to these questions by digging deep into this Atharva Vedic theory
of Karmic Relations.
Taking the first case, suppose a person liked another person in his past life and the second person also
liked the first person very much. But due to some circumstances the two of them were not able to have
a relationship. The strong feelings shared by them for each other would leave a strong impression on
their souls. And even after their death, these impressions stay imprinted on their souls very strongly as it
was a strong and incomplete wish and it would definitely bring them back to earth giving them a chance
to fulfill this wish. There are mainly three reasons due to which a soul comes down to earth again and
again. These three reasons are: One or more strong wishes and desires possessed by a person in any of
his/her previous lives which were not accomplished but the person wanted to accomplish them so bad
that they left deep impressions on the soul of this person, which bring him/her back to earth again and
again till the wishes are fulfilled and the impressions are removed from his soul. A person is Karmically
indebted to someone or many people due to something good done by them to this person or something
bad done by this person to them leaving the impressions on his/her soul, which would make it necessary
for this person to come down to earth again and clear those Karmic debts before proceeding towards
the final journey of his soul. Similarly a person seeking revenge or repayment of Karmic debts which are
due on some people because of some Karmas done in his/her previous lives would make that person
come back on earth.
To claim the rewards of good Karmas which a person had done in previous lives with a strong feeling
that those good Karmas would bring him good results, which means that those Karmas were results
oriented and thus they marked their impressions on his soul and he has to come back to get those
rewards before proceeding towards the final journey. But if a person does good Karmas with no feeling
for rewards or results, those Karmas do not mark their impressions on his soul and he is free to go.
Coming back to the topic, as both of the persons liked each other very much, it becomes a binding on
the system of nature to bring them back and fulfill their wish in some other life. And in this case, both of
them would take birth only when the planetary combinations are such that would lead to an interaction
and a strong relationship between the two of them which would start at a predestined time and place.
Planet Venus has a major role to play in the entire episode. As the two of them meet each other, they

2. are attracted to each other very easily due to the influence of Planet Venus which is working positively
for this relationship and as they start the relationship, their souls recognize each other and an
understanding starts building very quickly. But this affair is very likely to be a physically passionate affair
as both of the persons involved wanted to consummate this relationship for a very long time and now
when they have got the time, nothing can stop them and one can expect a very steamy love affair. After
a time when the impressions marked on their souls for physical interaction are removed, the
relationship may or may not continue depending upon the desires of the persons involved. Typically this
relationship may or may not be made for each other type of relationship as the physical aspect was the
first thing driving this relationship.
Considering the second case, suppose the relationship was completed in the previous life and both the
persons lived a very happy life loving each other till the end of their lives. And as both of them left this
world one by one, they had a strong feeling that this relationship was the best thing that happened to
them in their entire lifetime and both of them wished that they had spent more time in this relationship.
This would again mark the impressions on their souls and the same thing will happen again in some
other life. Only this time, the relationship will be more towards understanding each other and enjoying
the company of each other rather than discovering the physical aspects as both of the persons involved
had already consummated the relationship in the previous life and it was mainly the company of the
other person that was desired by both of them. This is a perfect case of “Made for each other” as both
of the persons involved in this relationship understood each other very well in the previous life and were
very happy with each other, which marked the impressions on their souls. Such relationships are likely
to continue from one birth to another till one or both of the partners involved in the relationship desires
to move towards the spiritual journey. The persons involved in such relationships can be called “Soul
Mates” in true sense as they keep on meeting and loving each other from one life to another.
In the third case, suppose it is only one person who liked someone but there was no response from the
second person. If the first person had a very strong feeling for this someone, it would leave its imprints
on the soul of this person. This person will come across the second person in one of his next lives and
would try to fulfill his incomplete desire or wish, which is to get the attention of the second person. But
the second person may or may not pay attention to the first person even in this life as there was no
interest shown by this person even in the previous life, so there are no impressions on the soul of the
second person and it is only the soul of the first person which is carrying the impressions for an
incomplete desire. In such cases the first person will keep on facing the second person in the coming
lives again and again until either the second person shows some response and a relationship starts or
the first person gets tired of the second person and decides to go another way which would simply erase
the impressions marked on the soul of first person and he is free of this bond. While on the other hand if
this one sided attraction continues for some lives and still there are no signs of interest from the second
person, extreme cases like an attempt for a suicide by the first person or use of force by the first person
on the second person to fulfill his/her physical desires and get rid of his/her frustration which has been
building for so many lives, can be witnessed depending upon the general nature and progress of the soul
of the first person.
These are just a few cases and there can be many other types of cases which are possible. But the
influence of Venus is a foremost factor in all these relationships as the execution of impressions marked
on a soul for the purpose of physical attraction or long lasting relationship is the field which mainly
belongs to Venus in astrology. There are thirty two match making factors according to Atharva Veda.
The 7th and 8th factors play the major most part in deciding the factors of a couple’s married life. These
are called as Nadi and Bhakut and they carry maximum points 8 and 7 respectively in the point chart of

3. traditional Match Making Atharva Vedic Astrology. If any of these two shows 0 points in match making
point chart, a defect is formed. For example if Nadi is showing 0 points, a Nadi Dosh is formed and if
Bhakut is showing 0 points, a Bhakut Dosh is formed. But what are these defects called Nadi Dosh and
Bhakut Dosh and what are the bases for assigning 0 points for Nadi or Bhakut which indicates the
presence of Nadi Dosh or Bhakut Dosh in match making? Let's try to find the theory behind these
defects and also know the remedies to rectify these defects.
Starting with Nadi Dosh, let's first find out what is a Nadi Dosh and how is it formed. Horoscope of every
person shows his/her Nadi depending upon the placement of Moon in different Constellations or
Nakshatras at the time of his/her birth. Depending upon these placements, following are the three kinds
of Nadis. If Moon is placed in any of these 9 constellations named Ashwini, Ardra, Punarvasu, Uttara
Phalguni, Hasta, Jyeshtha, Moola, Shatabhisha or Poorvabhadrapada in natal horoscope, the native is
said to have Aadi Nadi. If Moon is placed in any of these 9 constellations named Bharani, Mrigashira,
Pushya, Poorvaphalguni, Chitra, Anuradha, Poorvashada, Dhanishtha or Uttarabhadrapada in natal
horoscope, the native is said to have Madhya Nadi. If Moon is placed in any of these constellations
named Kritika, Rohini, Ashlesha, Magha, Swati, Vishakha, Uttarashada, Shravana or Revati in natal
horoscope, the native is said to have Antya Nadi. If both Male and Female have Nadis which are
different from each other, a score of 8 is added to the point chart and if both of them are having same
Nadis, a score of 0 is added and Nadi Dosh is said to be formed. For example if the Male is born in Hasta
Nakshatra and the Female is born in Ardra Nakshatra, both of them are having Aadi Nadi which is same
and hence Nadi Dosh is said to be formed. Nadi Dosh is generally said to cause a divorce or separation if
both Male and Female are having Aadi Nadi. Nadi Dosh is said to cause death of either one or both of
the partners if both Male and Female are having either Madhya or Antya Nadis. This is why a Male and a
Female having same Nadi are advised not to marry each other. However there are some aspects which
are said to cancel the effects of Nadi Dosh. Nadi Dosh is said to be nullified if any of these conditions is
met: If both male and female are born in the same Nakshatra but the Charana or Pada of Nakshatra is
different, Nadi Dosh is said to be nullified despite both of them having the same Nadi. If both Male and
Female have same Moon Sign but the birth Nakshatras are different and both of them have same Nadi,
Nadi Dosh is said to be nullified. If both Male and Female have same birth Nakshatra but the Moon Signs
are different, Nadi Dosh is said to be nullified in spite of both of them having same Nadi.
Moving on to Bhakut Dosh, if Moon Signs in the natal horoscopes of Male and Female are making a
combination of 6-8, 9-5 or 12-2 with each other, Bhakut Dosh is said to be formed. For example, if Moon
sign of the Male is Aries and that of the Female is Virgo, then Bhakut Dosh of 6-8 is said to be formed as
the Moon Sign of Female is sixth counted from Moon Sign of Male and the Moon sign of Male is eighth
counted from Moon sign of Female. Similarly Bhakut dosh is considered for 9-5 and 12-2 placements of
Moon signs. It is said that the Bhakut Dosh of 6-8 can cause death to either of the partners, Bhakut dosh
of 9-5 can cause delay, denial or loss of progeny and Bhakut Dosh of 12-2 can cause poverty. However,
Bhakut Dosh is said to be nullified if any of the following conditions is observed: If the Lord of Moon
Signs is the same, Bhakut dosh is said to be nullified. For example 6-8 Bhakut dosh is said to be nullified
in case of Aries-Scorpio and Taurus-Libra and 12-2 Bhakut dosh is said to be nullified in case of
Capricorn-Aquarius. If the Lord of Moon Signs is friendly with each other, Bhakut Dosh is said to be
nullified. For example, Pisces-Aries and Aries-Sagittarius. If Nadi Dosh is not present in the horoscopes,
the effect of Bhakut Dosh is said to be reduced depending upon some other factors.
The actual damage caused by Nadi Dosh and Bhakut Dosh usually does not match with the bad effects
mentioned above. If we analyze these two defects scientifically, we come to know that Nadi Dosh is
found in 33% cases of Match Making as there are only 3 Nadis and every third couple is supposed to

4. have same Nadi. In the same way Bhakut Dosh is found in about 50% cases of Match Making because
each Moon Sign is not compatible with 6 Moon Signs out of a total of 12 Moon Signs, which shows that
50% of the couples have Bhakut Dosh. Taking the nullifying effects into consideration, Bhakut Dosh is
still effective in about 35% to 40% cases of Match Making. Summing up both of these defects, it can be
calculated that at least 50% cases of Match Making are having either Nadi Dosh or Bhakut Dosh or both
of them. As the bad effects of Nadi Dosh and Bhakut Dosh are said to be very serious, so it is obvious
that the theory of Nadi Dosh and Bhakut Dosh does not hold good in actual practice because 50% of the
couples are not facing divorces, death and other issues in actual practice which shows that Nadi Dosh
and Bhakut Dosh alone are not capable of causing the damages associated to them, and the other
important factors should also be seen and considered in the horoscopes of the couples, to predict
accurate results.
Now that we know about Nadi Dosh and Bhakut Dosh, let's look at the remedies for these defects. The
best remedy for both Nadi Dosh and Bhakut Dosh is not the performance of Maha Mrityunjaya Pooja.
The Atharva Veda refers a lot of Yaksha/Yakshini Devathas to give the best remedy for the Nadi Dosh or
