  • 2. Lions are thebiggest catsin the world.
  • 3. • Lions are orange • and brown. They have • got long sharp teeth..Lions have gotstrong jaws andpowerful legs.Male lions havegot manes. Femalelions haven’t gotmanes.
  • 4. Lions are excellent swimmers.
  • 5. Most lions live in a group called a pride.
  • 6. A femalelion iscalled alioness.
  • 7. Lionesses are better huntersthan males anddo most of the hunting for a pride.
  • 8. Lions usually feed on animals like zebras,giraffes, rhinos, hippos. Sometimes theyeat smaller animals like hares and birds.
  • 9. A baby lion is called a cub .
  • 10. • For the first three months the cubs drink milk from their mother and later, they move on to meat of other animals.
  • 11. A lion in the wild can live up to 14 years but in a zoo they can live up to 20 years.
  • 12. Lions show their affection by rubbingtheir heads against another’s head, face or neck.
