  • 1. Start with PsycTESTS - http://psycnet.apa.org/ Make sure only PsycTESTS is selected.
  • 2. Searching on patient’s self-efficacyand diabetes management. Not sure if“self-efficacy” is the right term, so firstsearching just on this.
  • 3. 218 have self efficacy as an index term, so weknow this is a term that we can use reliably.
  • 4. Now we can restrict the search tothose that also contain diabetes.
  • 5. The first one looks relevantand has the fulltext of the testin PDF. Click on the title to getmore information.
  • 6. The summary gives useful information, and alsosome other keywords – you might want toexplore social support, for example, instead ofself efficacy and diabetes.
  • 7. If you want to see theTest Development Record, inaddition to the test itself, click onthe doi link to see the full article.
