Lesson 2b

 1. 1. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
2. 2. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
3. 3. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
C = Convict (Share the bad news of man)
4. 4. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
C = Convict (Share the bad news of man)
R = Reveal (Share the good news of God)
5. 5. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
6. 6. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
We start talking to a person about news, weather, sports, family, etc.
7. 7. The RCCR Principle
R = Relate (Start in the natural realm)
We start talking to a person about news, weather, sports, family, etc.
This is bridge-building and it only takes a few minutes to do. Shows the person you are not some weird, religious fanatic, but are a caring person.
8. 8. Relate: Start in the Natural
Ability of every person:
Be kind and friendly with everyone. Say “Hi” to strangers
regularly.
Introduce yourself.
Find common ground or interests.
“Friendship” or “Relationship” Evangelism is not Biblical. You
don’t know how long a person has left in their life. Life spans of
people you know or don’t know could be short or long. The longer
you know a person, the harder it is to bring up spiritual things with
them.
A friend is a stranger who has a relationship with you. Everybody
you know used to be a stranger to you.
9. 9. The RCCR Principle
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
10. 10. The RCCR Principle
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
This is a deliberate swing to the things of God.
11. 11. The RCCR Principle
C = Create (Swing to the spiritual realm)
This is a deliberate swing to the things of God.
This can be done with a little probing about their spiritual background, with a tract, or with a death of a celebrity or family member, friend, or acquaintance.
12. 12. Create: Swing to the Spiritual
Questions that can be asked:
“Do you have a Christian/spiritual background?”
“Did you get one of these?” Then hand out a Gospel tract.
“What do you think happens after someone dies?”
“Where do you go to church?”
“Did you hear about (celebrity, friend, or acquaintance) who just died? Where will you go when you die?”
“Do you believe in life after death?”
“Where are you in your spiritual journey?” or “What is happening spiritually in your life?”
“If you died tonight, are you 100 percent sure that you would go to heaven?”
13. 13. Create: Swing to the Spiritual (cont.)
Questions that can be asked:
“If you were to die tonight and stand in front of God, and He asked, ‘Why should I let you into heaven?’ what would you tell Him?”
“When you die, what do you think is on the other side?” or “What do you think is out there when you walk out of here?”
“Why do you wear that cross?”
“Do you want to go to heaven?”
“What is the most important thing in the world to you? On the day you die, what do you think will be the most important thing to you?”
14. 14. The RCCR Principle
C = Convict (Share the bad news of man)
15. 15. The RCCR Principle
C = Convict (Share the bad news of man)
Holding up the standard of God to a person “God’s mirror”, and showing the spiritual plight of a lost person through the Bible (will be explained later in this lesson).
“The Law”
16. 16. The RCCR Principle
R = Reveal (Share the good news of God)
17. 17. The RCCR Principle
R = Reveal (Share the good news of God)
Sharing what God has done to spare the person from Hell and The Way He has provided to grant forgiveness, cleansing, restoration, and an eternal home in Heaven (will be shared in a later lesson).
“The Gospel”
18. 18. We have removed or watered down sin!
We don’t even use the word “sin” it is now often replaced with words like “rebellion” or “mistakes”
19. 19. We have removed or watered down sin!
We don’t even use the word “sin” it is now often replaced with words like “rebellion” or “mistakes”
“OMG” or “Oh My G_d” text messaging and verbalizing…The Old Testament Law required death for taking God’s name in vain. (we don’t hold His name in high regard)
We teach: “All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” – Romans 3:23 This generalizes sin and does not make it personal.
We teach: “All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God.” – Romans 3:23 This generalizes sin and does not make it personal.
Problem is most people NOW lump their sins with everyone else’s! I am not as bad as so-and so…Hitler, Osama, etc…
