    • The greater Iowa City/Cedar Rapids region, is a place where big ideas happen. Our aim is to celebrate, support, connect, and enthusiastically cheer onthose who dream big, push boundaries, and work together to move ourregion forward. We want a more thriving region, with residents building more innovative organizations andparticipating more in vibrant communities with so much pride that it creates global buzz.To help foster more of this creative energy, we’re rolling out three major projects in 2013:a Collaborative CalendarAn online regional calendar of events that educate, support and celebrate people makingnew ideas happen and building original work. These creative and entrepreneurial eventscross all sectors and happen in all corners of the region. To reach an expanded regionalaudience send in your event details, and subscribe to the weekly newsletter to stay in theloop on all the many opportunities to connect with like-minded people.Stories of InnovationA year-long series of multimedia stories that shine a bright light on innovators andcreatives around the region. We all know the region is full of brilliant people buildinggame-changing ideas and original work in every part of our seven counties. This projectwill raise awareness of them by distributing their inspiring stories to the entire region andbeyond. Point us to already-published stories (written, video, photo or otherwise) aboutyour area or top innovators, and we’ll distribute them far and wide. Show or connect uswith innovators whose stories need to be told. We’ll be selecting a handful of stories to tellwith a professional storytelling team throughout the year.Creative Week 2013A region-wide showcase and celebration of our innovative, creative, imaginative andcollaborative people and successes slated for the week of October 21, 2013. We’ll behighlighting, promoting and coordinating workshops, talks, tours, parties and programsthroughout the week that showcase our creative region. To participate, start planningevents and showcases of any size and complexity, and/or join the Creative Collaborative topartner with others around the region working to coordinate and produce the week-longevent.For more information and more cool opportunities check out orcontact Amanda or Andy.Amanda Styron Andy StollProject Lead, Creative Corridor Initiative Creative Lead, Creative Corridor, (319) 400-7782, (424) 888-2434
