SecureNow is an insurance broking firm based in New Delhi, India. The penetration of insurance in India is very low. Even the little insurance that is sold is investment-oriented and not pure risk-insurance. SecureNow will correct this anomaly by building a vibrant broking channel that markets pure risk products (such as term and health insurance). We will focus on individual and small-sized corporate segments that are the most underserved.
We have five distinctive promises to our customers.
First, we will take an independent position that puts buyers first and offer them the best insurance in terms of coverage and price. Currently the broader market does not distinguish between an agent (representing a specific insurance company) and a broker (who deals with all insurers). We will establish and reinforce the role of a broker.
Second, we will market only pure risk insurance to customers. The industry is currently focused on investment-oriented unit link products and traditional endowments. We believe that these are secondary requirements for people and the first need must be to purchase pure risk protection insurance. Pure protection, which provides the highest leverage in terms of coverage to premium paid, is where the need is the highest as most of India is under insured.
Third, SecureNow will sell insurance to under-served small companies. These companies need high quality insurance advice but have largely been ignored. Many organisations prefer to seek out larger, more established companies that are easier to reach.
Fourth, we will focus on customer education to bring in focus the true value of insurance, which is to leverage small savings to get high value protection from unforeseen and unpredictable mishaps.
Finally, we will leverage the high mobile phone penetration and the rapidly increasing internet penetration in the country to reach our customers in a cost-efficient manner. Our prospect and customer care process and information sharing approach will use low cost scalable technology to schedule calls with buyers and to offer them seamless service thereafter.
