2. Filming at Edgwarebury Park
• We started the day filming by taking the camera through
small trees and filming the wind blow the leaves across
the grass. This was because we felt it would look
effective in our production and so we could highlight that
we wanted to amplify the lyrics of our song. The reason
we did this was in order to achieve continuity throughout
the song and video, so we could therefore make the
production more realistic in terms of the visuals we
displayed to our audience. Also, the song that we used
was fast-paced, which meant that we needed to record
several different shots that we could include in our
production and cut to the beat of the song. This was
so we could display an original and unique music video
that would ultimately be interesting for our audience.
3. Filming at Proud - Camden
• The first thing our group did whilst recording was we started to film from the back of
the concert we were in, recording from a long distance, so we could therefore capture
everything that was going on around us. Whilst doing this we zoomed in and out with
the camera, so we could ultimately record a variety of different shots to include in our
music production. We then filmed the audience by panning the camera to the left, and
right of the concert area. This is so we could therefore highlight their interest in the
artist, and their enjoyment of the performance overall. Following the recording of the
audience, our group chose to move the camera to the other side of the concert and
film high angle shots. These were captured by one of our group members standing on
a wooden bench to allow him to record the high angle footage, which our group could
put into our video, as we thought it would make our production look interesting, and
original. Overall, our group gathered fantastic close-up and over the shoulder shots
of our artist playing the keyboard, as well as close ups of him singing into the
microphone.
• Moreover, to finish our filming we recorded footage in the bar area of our location.
Where people in Halloween costumes were partying, and enjoying themselves. We
got various different shots of this location, including the people within it, as we felt it
would make our music video more authentic and our idea more original.
4. Filming at Camden Lock
• The first part of our filming was located on a 'no through road', in which we filmed our
artist walking, dancing and lip syncing at the same time. We utilised our camera work
skills, in order to capture a variety of different shots, such as close-ups and mid-
shots, so we could therefore display both our artist and the image of the location
itself. Secondly, we moved to a different location, which was a grassy hill area,
whereby, we could use this location to our advantage. This was because we could
capture a lot of different low angle shots that our group wanted to implement into our
video, as it would make our artist look like a powerful and strong character. Thirdly,
our last location within the Camden Town area was in a built-up area behind a factory
that had interesting statues that we wanted to record our artist in front of, as we felt it
would make our music production look more interesting, effective and original. In this
particular location, we filmed a variety of close-up shots of our artist's face, so we
could display the image of our artist, and so we could also highlight the words he was
singing more clearly.
• After we had finished our recording, we packed up our equipment and as a unit we
felt very happy that we had almost completed a music video. It felt like one of the
greatest achievements, as we knew we could now produce a strong and effective
music production.
