For more information on the work of The Aspen Institute Business & Society Program, please visit and <br />Start Date: - n/a - Salary: $700/week for full-time<br />Location: - US - New York <br />Application Deadline: March 31, 2011 <br />Degree/Experience: MBA/Graduate Degree Preferred<br />International Student Applications Accepted: No<br />Basic Function:<br />The Aspen Institute Business & Society Program seeks a graduate student with interest in business and social/environmental sustainability for a summer internship (20-40 hours per week for up to 10 weeks).<br />Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br />The Summer Associate will take a lead on one or more projects of the Business & Society Program (final project(s) to be determined depending on start date of internship and interests of Summer Associate):<br /><ul><li>Work with senior staff to develop and implement a marketing and communications plan for the launch of the 2011 results of Beyond Grey Pinstripes, the alternative ranking of business schools. The rankings will be made public in early November 2011.
  2. 2. Work on one or more projects of the Corporate Values Strategy Group. The Associate would be expected to make meaningful contributions to events that will bring business executives, investment professionals, academics and other experts together (in July, September, and at other points in 2011) to explore issues that will impact the future of business practice and education. This assistance will likely include primary and secondary research and event logistics.
  3. 3. Work on refining a corporate fundraising strategy across all of our programming, keeping corporate partners engaged in and supportive of our work.
  4. 4. As time permits, the Summer Associate may assist with other work of the Business & Society Program.</li></ul>Skills:<br /><ul><li>Demonstrated interest in the power of business to do good
  5. 5. At least 2 years of experience working in a company, preferably a large multi-national corporation
  6. 6. Excellent written and oral communication skills
  7. 7. Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
  8. 8. Experience conducting literature reviews; ability to quickly and concisely summarize scholarly papers and popular articles
  9. 9.
