The Expressions of Quran

  1. 1. THE EXPRESSIONS OF QURAN written by MUHAMMAD SALEEM DADA (Assistance for this writing has been taken from many significant commentaries on Quran; including the commentaries by Dr. Asrar Ahmed, by Mufti Muhammad Shafi, by Abul-Ala-Maududi, by Amin Ehsan Islahi; May Allah have mercy on all these commentators) 1-GENERAL INFORMATION (Comprises of INTRODUCTION, WAHI, COMPILATION, NAME-SUBJECT-ADDRESS, THE ONLY MIRACLE)(a)-INTRODUCTIONThe Holy Book Quran is the book that changed such people that had care for morality but little, in such way that not only they achieved the peak of righteousness but became custodians to that; this is the revolutionary book that can still change the world to righteousness. I present this writing to clarify the highly important message that it gives to the Humankind and the way it expresses that highly important message. I would insha-Allah (by the will of Allah) divide this writing into four parts that are General Information, Overview of Concepts it gives, Observation of the Expression for Truth that it has, Description for MUQATTA’AAT; these would insha-Allah answer the questions what is the Holy Book Quran (giving necessary information about its text and presentation),
  2. 2. what does it teach (giving the important concepts ofIslam according to the Holy Book Quran that are relatedto Human-Life), what is the mode of its expression (givingthe manner by which the Holy Book Quran presents itsguidance to all the people), what do the letters termedMUQATTA’AAT at the beginning of 29 of SURAH signify(giving examples by history of words and more than thatby the expression of the Holy Book Quran itself)respectively; each part comprising of brief notes withsub-headings related to its head; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Eachnote at the first two parts would have the AAYAH(reference from the Holy Book Quran itself) related to itat the last of it to understand the note well insha-Allahthough according to necessity I, MSD, would providereasoning by AAYAH even at the note insha-Allah but forthe last two parts, I would provide the reference, all ofit, where necessary INSIDE the note in progress insha-Allah. Note that the Holy Book Quran descended uponMuhammad PBUH, the last of Prophets, who was born inArabia in RABI-UL-AWWAL, the third Month in HIJRAHCalendar (in April 572 AD or about that year). He usedto trade goods to & from Arabia in his youth yet withtime, being dissatisfied with manners of his nation, heshifted his attention to solitude. He used to retire at thecave of HIRA where he sat silently for days & nights andmeditated (the nature of which we do not know exactlyand most probably he thought about the Human-Being andrelated questions). There, in the silence of one night ofRAMADHAN that comes at each year in that Holy Monthand that is named as SHAB-e-QADR (the night whendestiny is told to the angels to execute for the wholeyear); when the Prophet PBUH was nearing 40 years ofage by the Lunar-Cycle, he received the first of WAHI
  3. 3. (Revelation); that was the AYAH 1 to 5 of SURAH 96;from Allah that was recited to him by an angel (the mostrespectable one i.e. JIBRAEL who visited him there inhuman-form); the meaning of WAHI in detail is comingahead. From thence, the WAHI to him proceeded on forabout twenty-three years until his passing-away from theworld in Rabi-ul-Awwal of 11 HIJRI (June 632 AD) andthat WAHI in compilation is the Holy Book Quran. In thiscompilation, we have different ways of division for textaccording to the time-period in which to recite it thoughthe better division for study is by SURAH (Chapters) andAAYAH (Verses in text). The main divisions besides thedivision based on SURAH, are four that include 30SIPARA (to recite the Holy Book Quran completely in 30days), 558 RUKU including the RUKU for SURAH-FATIHA(to recite it completely in the monthly TARAVIH of 20RAKA’AH for 27 nights, the night-SALAH ofRAMADHAN, with ease taking one RUKU in each RAKA’AHat each night and 17 more on the 27th night inrecitation), 7 MANAZIL (to recite it completely in 7days) and AAYAH (the Verses in text that are 6236 intotal); SIPARA, RUKU and MANAZIL were formulated tomake ease in its reading by the people and it is not basedon revelation though the honorable division by SURAHthat is chapters has been told by the Prophet PBUH andtheir sequence in recitation has also been marked by himwith AAYAH (verses in text) being readily understood. However, the division by MANAZIL was also recognizedby the SAHABA (RA; the companions of the ProphetPBUH) and there were among them those SAHABA whoused to read the Holy Book Quran in seven days by thatdivision. There is one another division for recitation ofthe Holy Book Quran too that is named as HIZB and I,
  4. 4. MSD, would comment on it later in this writing. ThoseSURAH that have a high number of verses are not onlychapters but they are also like booklets in the Holy BookQuran while each SURAH has RUKU that are sectionscomprising of AAYAH (verses in text). The largestSURAH in volume i.e. AL-BAQARAH, the second insequence of recitation after AL-FATIHA, has 40 RUKUwhile the smallest SURAH AL-KAUTHAR that is SURAH108, like many other SURAH having few AAYAH only, hasonly one that has three AAYAH. So the sequence ofrecitation is that the SURAH having high volume comesbefore the SURAH that have lesser volume (but this isnot hard and fast rule). Note that total SURAH in theHoly Book Quran are 114 and also note that three ofthem that are the second, third and fourth SURAHcomprise of 40, 20 and 24 RUKU respectively; this is thefirst MANZIL. From the fifth SURAH to the ninth inrecitation; that are five in sequence; comprise of 16 to24 RUKU except for the 8th SURAH that has 10 RUKU;this is the second MANZIL. Then seven SURAH from10th SURAH to 16th SURAH, all comprise of 6 to 12RUKU except for the 16th that comprises of 16 RUKU;this is the third MANZIL. Then nine of them, from 17thto 25th SURAH, all comprise of 6 to 12 RUKU; this isthe fourth MANZIL. From ASH-SHU’ARAA the twenty-sixth SURAH in sequence of recitation, up-to YA-SINthe thirty-sixth SURAH, their total being eleven, all theSURAH comprise of 3 to 9 RUKU except for ASH-SHU’ARAA that has 11 RUKU; this is the fifth MANZIL.Then from SAFFAAT, the 37th SURAH in recitation, up-to HUJURAAT, the 49th SURAH; these are 13 in total;all the SURAH comprise of 3 to 9 RUKU except forHUJURAAT that comprises of 2 RUKU; this is the sixth
  5. 5. MANZIL. After these from QAAF, the 50th SURAH, thelast MANZIL starts that is also named as MUFASSALthat goes to the last of the Holy Book Quran; this lastMANZIL has been divided in three parts. From QAAF toBURUJ (SURAH-85) are called TIWAL-MUFASSAL andthe SURAH here comprise of either 1 or 2 or 3 RUKUexcept for HADID, the 57th SURAH, that comprises of4 RUKU; from AT-TARIQ (SURAH-86) to the end ofBAIYINAH (SURAH-98) are called AUSAT-MUFASSALand from AZ-ZILZAAL (SURAH-99) to the end are calledQISAR-MUFASSAL, both of these sets of SURAHcomprising of a single RUKU each. As remarked, thesequence of recitation is that the SURAH having highvolume come before the SURAH that have lesser volume(but this is not hard and fast rule as we have seen by thedetail of RUKU) though this is not the sequence in whichthe WAHI descended on the Prophet PBUH; note thateven that sequence is known well. As the Prophet PBUHhad to migrate in 622 AD to MADINAH, the SURAH thatare before that are named as “of MAKKA” and others aretermed as “of MADINAH”. As a rule, all the SURAH thathave AAYAH of SAJDAH (prostration) except for RA’AD,are related to MAKKAH and all the SURAH havingMUQATTA’AT (the Arabic alphabet-letters at thebeginning) except AL-BAQARAH, AAL-E-IMRAN andRA’AD, are also related to MAKKAH; also note here thatthe verses of the Holy Book Quran that were revealedfor some specific occasion are not specific in Command tothat very occasion but they have to be taken intopractice in general unless specified by the Quran itself.Such occasions for which the AAYAH were received, would give a good TAFSIR (interpretation of the AAYAH)and so they are certainly important to know. So the Holy
  6. 6. Book Quran has 114 SURAH, 30 SIPARA, 7 MANAZIL and 558 RUKU (including the RUKU of SURAH-FATIHA); there are 6236 AAYAH (verses in text) in it and these figures are authentic; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Note that it is erroneously said that it has 6666 AAYAH yet the mentioned figure of 6236 for AAYAH is correct and even those who mention incorrect figures for AAYAH take the text as the same; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Here, another point of importance is that markings for punctuation at few places, the detection of which is not difficult if someone ponders well on the Holy Book Quran, must not detract us from understanding the connection of AYAAH where necessary and there are places where the word present might be joined to the speech ahead or it might be taken with the on-going speech. There is one another division too that is by HIZB; this means that a SIPARA is divided in two components each called HIZB and each HIZB is divided into four parts so the SIPARA consists of eight parts and this division is also for the ease in the recitation of the Holy Book Quran in the period of one month, especially at TARAVIH (the night-SALAH at each night of the holy month of RAMADHAN when it is to be read eight RAKA’AH each night). However, the division by SURAH and AAYAH are most worthy to take into account not only for recitation but also for understanding and high study and that is why generally the reference to the Holy Book Quran whenever needed, is given by the SURAH Number in the sequence of recitation followed by the AYAH Number; Al-Hamdu Lillah Rabbil-Aalamin (all of praise is for Allah, the True Lord of the worlds; 1:1).Reference:
  7. 7. 1- “And (this is) Quran which We have divided (into SURAH), in order that you might recite it to men at intervals. And We have revealed it by stages” (17:106).2- “And those who disbelieve say: Why is not the Quran revealed to him all at once? Thus, that We may strengthen your heart thereby. And We have revealed it to you gradually, in stages” (25:32).3- “Read! In the Name of your Lord Who has created (all that exists). He has created man from a clot. Read! And your Lord is the Most Generous. Who has taught by the pen. He has taught man that which he knew not” (96:1 to 5).4- “And your Lord is going to give you, and you will be satisfied. Did He not find you an orphan and give refuge? And He found you lost and guided, And He found you poor and made self-sufficient. So as for the orphan, do not oppress. And as for the petitioner, do not repel. But as for the favor of your Lord, report it” (93:5 to 11).5- “Indeed, We sent the Quran down during the Night of Decree (LAILATUL-QADR). And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree? The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every command. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn” (97: whole of it).6- “The month of Ramadan in which was revealed the Quran, a guidance for mankind, and clear proofs of the guidance, and the Criterion [of right and wrong]. And whosoever of you is present, let him fast the month, and whosoever of
  8. 8. you is sick or on a journey, [let him fast the same] number of other days. Allah desires for you ease; He desires not hardship for you; and [He desires] that you should complete the period, and that you should magnify Allah for having guided you, and that peradventure you may be thankful” (2:185).(b)-WAHINote that human senses are limited and understanding life needs more than what these limited senses can tell. Eyes can see an air-plane to some distance yet after that they would not be able to detect it even if the person knows well where that plane would be now; ears can hear up-to a distance yet with a high space in between the speaker and himself, he would not be able to hear the speaker even if he judges that he is addressing him seeing his gestures from far; such is the case even with the human- mind. When the man thought that these are enough for all he intends to know then these misguided him much and are still asking men to go astray as whatever the Man gets by his senses even by the height of reflection of his brilliant mind, whatever brilliance he might have, is totally deficient in understanding life in true sense. Note that Adam A.S. was given all sorts of physical knowledge yet for the sake of his spiritual purity, he still had to learn words from Allah to ask mercy (see 2:30 to 39). WAHI was the means by which Allah guided human-beings though this came to Prophets only, that were men of very high caliber spiritually, to guide the humankind to righteousness. In other words, WAHI was the divine message of Allah that He conveyed to His chosen men (Prophets) and this message was conveyed openly or even
  9. 9. in some concealed manner. It contained the information that was based on pure wisdom and that was beyond the material sphere; as such, it was that practical knowledge that was about the Islamic Path that Allah conveyed to His Prophets. Note that WAHI is a thing of AALAM-e- AMR (the world of Command) and not of AALAM-e- KHALQ (the world of creation); note that Angels and the Human Spirit are also related to AALAM-e-AMR. The human-physique is related to the earth and its food in essence comes from the earth but the human-spirit has come from AALAM-e-AMR and so it needs WAHI to satisfy it truly. When a pure Human-Spirit got acceptance at the court of Allah when Messengers were still coming to the world (note here that after the Last Prophet Muhammad PBUH, there is no Messenger to come and as such, the WAHI has ceased to come after him), Allah sent WAHI to such pure Human-Spirit directly at heart (as with Jesus Christ A.S. and this includes dreams too as with ABRAHAM A.S.) or talked to him from behind some veil not coming at fore (as with MOSES A.S.) or by sending an angel to him that addressed his spirit (as with Muhammad PBUH). The Pure Spirit recognized WAHI well when it got that and even an Angel when it saw that, as they all belong to the same sphere of life that is AALAM-e-AMR; Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:1- “And it is not for any human being that Allah should speak to him except by revelation or from behind a partition or that He sends a messenger (angel Jibrael) to reveal, by His permission, what He wills. Indeed, He is Most High and Wise” (42:51).
  10. 10. 2- “Surely your Lord is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six periods of time, and He is firm in power; He throws the veil of night over the day, which it pursues incessantly; and (He created) the sun and the moon and the stars, made subservient by His command; surely His is the KHALQ (creation) and the AMR (command); blessed is Allah, the Lord of the worlds” (7:54).3- “And they ask you about the spirit. Say: The spirit is by the command of my Lord, and you are not given aught of knowledge but little” (17:85).4- “By the star when it descends, your companion [Muhammad PBUH] has not strayed, nor has he erred, nor does he speak from [his own] inclination. It is not but WAHI (revelation) revealed” (53:1 to 4).5- “Then Adam received from his Lord [some] words, and He accepted his repentance. Indeed, it is He who is the Accepting of repentance, the Merciful” (2:37). (c)-COMPILATIONThe Holy Book Quran is in its pure form due to the fact that from the time of its revelation, it was learnt by heart by many of the listeners. That is why when the advice to put the Holy Book Quran into writing was forwarded by UMAR (RA) in the term of the First Caliph ABU-BAKR (RA) because many HAAFIZ (persons who can recite the whole of Quran by heart without seeing it in writing) were killed in a war (Battle of YAMAMA that took place in November 633), he did not appreciate it at first but ultimately accepted the idea and assigned ZAID IBN THABIT (RA),
  11. 11. who also was a HAAFIZ like many SAHABA (Companionsof the Holy Prophet Muhammad PBUH), for the task toput the Holy Book Quran in writing at one place. In theWest learning even a small booklet word by word is takenas an astonishing feat yet little does the West know thatsince the time the Holy Book Quran descended onMuhammad PBUH, the last Messenger of Allah, to thistime, we always have had many a persons who could recitethe whole of the Holy Book Quran without seeing it inwriting. ZAID IBN THABIT (RA) could have written thewhole of the Holy Book Quran by his astounding memoryyet he took the caution due to the delicate nature of thetask, by putting this condition for the writing that hewould only write the verses when he could get them inwriting too somewhere as the Prophet (PBUH) used todictate the verses that descended at the very time. Thatis why ZAID had to search a lot for few verses (butplease note that much of the writing of the Holy BookQuran was available at the place of the Prophet PBUH;some writers on the subject have remarked that almostall of the Holy Book Quran was there though they werewritten loosely on different parchments and bones ofanimals not bound together) especially for two verses ofSURAH TAUBAH that he could not find anywhere near(and of course he knew that they were also the part ofthe Book due to HIFZ i.e. memorizing the whole of theHoly Book Quran by heart) and found them only with oneof the SAHABA in writing. When he got the entire bookin writing, that total compiled form was named “MUSHAF”(i.e. Writing) and put first in the custody of ABU-BAKR(RA), the first Caliph; after him, in the custody of UMAR(RA), the second Caliph. After UMAR, this compilationpassed on in custody of his daughter BIBI HAFSA (RA;
  12. 12. one of the respectable wives of the Holy ProphetMuhammad PBUH) from where UTHMAN (RA), the thirdCaliph, was able to make copies when that was needed, toexpress few words with specific spellings that werecausing confusion in expression so as to eliminatedifferences in pronunciations as many non-Muslims werecoming to Islam at the time that needed necessarydirection in this matter. He not only set the spellings ofthese few words to guide towards their rightpronunciation by the services of the same esteemedperson i.e. ZAID IBN THABIT (RA) with a team of goodmembers learned in the text of the Holy Book Quran withits other matters, but also denoted the specific word ateach such place where the option was available to readthe text choosing from a couple of words, both beingauthentic, having complementary meanings to each other(and these were extremely few as I would provide theexample presently, writing the very few differences thatABDULLAH IBN MASUD-RA had in his written copy ofthe Holy Book Quran as it is denoted that he had themaximum of differences with one or two omissions too;even though these differences are nothing of concern yetthis matter was not taken lightly due to the fear of losingthe true meaning at such few places after seeing how thePENTATEUCH, the five books of TORAH, had changedaccording to Muslims at places with low care in the longrun, especially at the time when it had to be re-writtenafter the captivity of BANI-ISRAEL when theyestablished themselves again at Jerusalem by thepermission of Cyrus). The other word in the option atevery such place among these extremely few places isknown still and all such words work well to provide betterunderstanding of those verses and they do second the
  13. 13. only one in the official authentic text now that is inrecitation. After many years, AARAB (that work asvowels do in English) were given to the words for non-Arabs to recite the Holy Book Quran with ease as sincemany years then there were a great number of peoplecoming to Islam who did not have ARABIC as their nativelanguage and though ARABS understood the Holy Bookeven without AARAB clearly due to their style of speechand as a great number of HAAFIZ were present amongthem yet the high increase of persons converting to Islammade it necessary to provide AARAB for its easy readingand understanding among the non-Arabs. Note here thatthe main differences that ABDULLAH IBN MASUD (RA)had with the official version, are limited to four places;all these at the very beginning and the very end of theHoly Book Quran. The detail for this is that in AL-FATIHA, he read ARSHIDNA (in place of IHDINA; bothwords mean “guide us”) and MANN (instead of AL-LATHINA; both words mean “which” here). In SURAHAL-BAQARAH, he read TANZILUL-KITAB (2:2) meaning“the descent of the Book” (instead of DHALIK-AL-KITABthat means “this is the Book”); he used YAKHDA’UNA(2:9; instead of YUKHADI’UNA both words imply herethat “they i.e. the hypocrites, deceive”); he used thepreposition BEY (2:14) meaning “with” (instead of thepreposition ELA that means “towards”). In SURAH AL-IKHLAS that is SURAH-112 in sequence of recitation, hehas four variants though this SURAH has one RUKU onlythat comprise of four verses; one is that he omitted theword QUL by which this SURAH commences that means“say”, secondly he also omitted the second verse of thisSURAH, thirdly he read WAHID instead of AHAD (bothmeaning “One Only” though the better word for it is of-
  14. 14. course AHAD that is in use at the official authenticversion as WAHID is mostly used for One Only whileAHAD implies being Unique too; AHAD and WAHID bothare the names of Allah), fourthly he read LAM YULADbefore LAM YALID and that difference is in the sequenceof recitation only without any change of meaning in theverse. His last difference, that is fourth among hisdifferences with the official authentic version, is aboutMAUDHATAIN (the last two SURAH that are 113 & 114in sequence of recitation, very short in volume comprisingof a short RUKU each and they both had descendedtogether) that he did not count these both as the part ofthe Holy Book Quran. It is interesting to note that theseall four differences that the version of ABDULLAH hadwith the official authentic version are just at the verybeginning or at the very last of the Holy Book Quran asrecited by the text and as they were not of any concernwhatsoever being nothing to consider at all, they were notaccepted in general; the official version becoming the onlyauthentic version in recitation all over the world. Due tothe presence of HUFFAZ (the HAAFIZ persons) at alltimes and places from the very beginning since therevelation of the Holy Book Quran, we Muslims believethat the Holy Book Quran is totally the same as it wasrevealed; now we have HUFFAZ even in non-Arabs in hugenumber and HIFZ has proved to be such action that hadnot only established itself among SAHABA (RA;companions of the Prophet) but had expanded with timeamong all those non-Arabs who converted to Islam in veryhuge number. This is an important point to note as thereare some persons in the West who comment about thecompilation of the Holy Book Quran in most unscholarlyway due to the taking of a specific word at each such
  15. 15. place among extremely few places where options wereavailable at the time of UTHMAN (RA) putting back theother word also in use there then at the MUSHAF withBIBI HAFSAH, in the official authentic version set byUTHMAN for recitation to understand it and to practiceit all over the world; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Note again thatthese few words, and they are extremely few, that havebeen put back are still known well (and these differenceswere manifested in the recitation of ABDULLAH IBNMASUD and UBAYY IBN KA’AB; both among the highlylearned persons in the text of the Holy Book Quran) andthey work well to explain the places where they wereused at the period of UTHMAN but they are not takenfor recitation now when the other word for each has beenofficially accepted at every such place, that being moreauthentic being in common speech of QURAISH thatbelonged to the tribe of BANU-HASHIM, in which styleof Arabic the Holy Book Quran had descended. There arepeople now at these present times who comment adverselyeven due to the missing of AARAB trying to put doubtsabout the authenticity of the words of the Holy BookQuran not even giving a passing comment in their“scholarly” writings that Arab Muslims have from the veryfirst day kept the record of the words of the Holy BookQuran, memorizing it as was their custom about importanttexts (and the last Prophet Muhammad PBUH, throughwhom the Quran was given, was himself HAFIZ of theHoly Book); even at the present times too, differentpublishing foundations have done great job to print theHoly Book Quran in the standard form beautifully all overthe world. The Western writers that write adversely uponthe compilation of the Holy Book Quran also avoidcommenting even casually that it is a well known fact that
  16. 16. the memory of Arabs at that time was amazingly astounding. However the matter that is presented in a simple manner here does clarify that the Holy Book Quran is the same as descended and this is indeed a clear proof of the AAYAH that tells us “Surely We have revealed the Reminder (the Holy Book Quran) and We will most surely be its guardian” (15:9); Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:1- “[And remember] when Allah said: O Jesus! Lo! I am gathering thee and causing thee to ascend unto Me, and am cleansing thee of those who disbelieve and am setting those who follow thee above those who disbelieve until the Day of Resurrection. Then unto Me you will [all] return, and I shall judge between you as to that wherein you used to differ. As for those who disbelieve I shall chastise them with a heavy chastisement in the world and the Hereafter; and they will have no helpers. And as for those who believe and do good works, He will pay them their wages in full. Allah loves not wrong-doers. This [which] We recite unto thee is a revelation and a wise reminder. Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. [This is] the truth from thy Lord [O Muhammad], so be not thou of those who waver” (3:55 to 60).2- “Surely We have revealed the Reminder (the Holy Book Quran) and We will most surely be its guardian” (15:9).3- “Thus we have revealed it as a Lecture in Arabic, and have displayed therein certain threats, that peradventure they may keep from evil or that it may cause them to
  17. 17. take heed. Then exalted be Allah, the True King! And hasten not [O Muhammad] with the Quran until its revelation hath been perfected unto thee, and say: My Lord! Increase me in knowledge” (20:113 & 114).4- “Stir not thy tongue herewith to hasten it (i.e. recitation of Quran). Lo! upon Us [rests] the putting together thereof and the reading thereof. And when We read it, follow thou the reading; Then lo! upon Us [rests] the explanation thereof” (75:16, 17, 18, 19).5- “We shall make thee read [O Muhammad] so that you shall not forget save that which Allah wills. Lo! He knows the disclosed and that which is hidden; And We shall ease your way unto the state of ease. Therefore remind [men], for of use is the reminder” (87:6, 7, 8, 9).(d)-NAME, SUBJECT-MATTER, ADDRESSThe Central Theme that runs throughout the Holy Book Quran is the invitation to the Human-Being (and JINN) towards the Right-Way specially to those who really intend to know that; practically it asks to live upon this Right-Way by following the SUNNAH of the Prophet Muhammad PBUH and avoiding all satanic temptations; indeed Satan that was one among the JINN and that challenged the True Lord Allah because of the Man, is the worst enemy of all human-beings. Note that Allah is the Only One Creator of all creation and except the Human-Being and JINN, all other creation is in total submission to Allah but these two have been given the free-will to accept or to reject the submission to Allah so the need to invitation is only for these two. The Holy Book Quran declares that the same reality was revealed to Adam A.S., and all the
  18. 18. Messengers after him, and they all preached the sameright way. Thus, the real object for the Book is to callpeople to this "right-way" illuminating Allah’s trueguidance, which has often been lost either through mansfoolish negligence or distorted by his adverse perversity.Note that the children of Israel were given a specialsignificance for this task but they were deprived of thisstatus at the descent of the Holy Book Quran when theyrejected its true Guidance (the same in essence that hadbeen given to Moses); they had already been punishedseverely by Allah before the advent of Muhammad PBUH,the last Messenger of Allah, couple of times that wasthrough Nebuchadnezzar and then after centuries ofthat, through the Romans just a few decades after theyhad rejected Jesus Christ A.S., the great man andmessenger of Allah; they were given a last chance tocome to guidance at the descent of the Holy Book Quranthat they did not avail; that proved to be the last oftheir status as the chosen people of Allah and Muslimswere instead provided that high status to remain onguidance by the Holy Book Quran and to call the wholeworld towards it. The actual name of the Holy BookQuran is “QURAN” and it has been mentioned by thisname much in the Holy Book Quran yet there are othernames for it too that have been mentioned in it; morethan fifty according to JALALUDDIN SUYUTI; note thatwhen it was saved into the compiled form in the era ofABU-BAKR, that compiled form was termed as MUSHAFon the advice of ABDULLAH-IBN-MASUD. The mostimportant names by which it has been called are AL-KITAB (the Book), ADH-DHIKR (the Reminder), AL-HUDA (the Guidance), KALAM-ALLAH (the word ofAllah), WAHI (revelation), AN-NUR (The Light) and AL-
  19. 19. FURQAN (the standard to differentiate between theRight and Wrongs). These all names provide an insightinto the righteous invitation that the Holy Book Quranpresents to the Human-Being just by their respectivemeanings; the only explanation might be needed for ADH-DHIKR and the point to note here is that this name tellsus that everyone has the sense of recognition for theTruth (named FITHRAT) due to the covenant taken fromeach and every person before the life at the world, inthe world of Spirits and that sense is addressed by theHoly Book Quran so in this meaning it is the Remindertowards that voice inside; also note that being KALAM-ALLAH, it is the attribute of Allah and as such, it iseven allowed to take an oath on the Holy Book Quran asthe JAEZ (right) oath can only be taken by the name ofAllah or by any of His attribute. However, the wordQURAN needs observation and I would address thismatter presently. There is some difference among thelearned men in the meaning of the word QURAN yet theright judgment in this matter seems clearly of thoselearned persons who have remarked that it is the root-word which means “To-Read”. Its form of verb for thepast is QARA’A and for the present and also the future(called the MUDHARE-verb), it is YAQRA’U; the validroot-words by which these verbs occur come as QAR’AN,QIR’ATAN and of-course QURANAN. By the ArabicGrammar, the root-word might be brought as an objectat places and in this sense, QURAN means the book thatis to be read continuously; Al-Hamdu Lillah. The subject-matter of the Holy Book Quran is to guide the individualtowards righteousness (note that everyone has to answerfor his belief and deeds individually at AKHIRAT, thetrue life after this life) and being an invitation to
  20. 20. righteousness, convey to all the people the truth aboutthe Human-life and about the Human himself; note thatAllah tells us in the Holy Book Quran, “Certainly We haverevealed to you a Book in which there is your ownmention; do you not then understand?” (21:10). Accordingto benefits that people get from the Holy Book Quranwhen they do turn their attention towards it, there arefour of them; one is that it is a WARNING to those wholive being oblivious to the Truth in their concepts andpractice, second is that it is HEALING of spiritualdiseases to those who live challenging the Truth by theirconcepts and practice, third is that it is GUIDANCE tothose who live intending to live upon the Truth in theirconcepts and practice and fourth is that it is BLESSINGto those who live understanding totally the reason to theirlives and so living totally by their ability to that viewpointaccepting the Truth well in their Belief and practice;these last ones are the good recipients of the highestbenefit from the Holy Book Quran; they must rejoicethat Allah has provided for them the Truth in suchmanner that they do respect the true worth of theProphet Muhammad PBUH, the last Messenger of Allahwho is the Grace of Allah to them, and have the truerecognition of the Blessing that is the Holy Book Quran tothem. The Holy Book Quran says, “O men! there has cometo you indeed a WARNING from your Lord and aHEALING for what is in the breasts and a GUIDANCEand a BLESSING for the believers; Say-In the Grace ofAllah and in His Blessing, in that they should rejoice; it isbetter than that which they gather” (10: 57 & 58). Whenthe individual has come truly to Islam becoming a part ofthe Muslim-UMMAH (Muslims as a whole), it addresses allof them directly to provide the Guidance given to them by
  21. 21. Allah to all the world (see 2:110). Also note that strictlyaccording to Islam, there are two nations only in theworld; Rejecters of the Truth and the Believers of theTruth (see 64:2); even if only some of the people in theworld are Believers, they would be a whole nation in theirown capacity and IBRAHIM alone is mentioned as UMMAH(see 16:120) that points out that there would bebelievers of the Truth who would care for it in hisdescendants yet it also informs that even one man only ifhe is at the righteous path is the whole UMMAH andclarifies that Muslims of a specific place or of a specifictime even if all of them are not included in the mention, are UMMAH in their own capacity; this is the trueconcept of NATION by the Islamic Viewpoint. The HolyBook Quran also addresses the people of the Book (Jewsand Christians) at places; it addresses infidels too(address directly to them is only once i.e. in SURAHTEHREEM, the sixty-sixth SURAH and AYAH being 7 andnote that it is the narration of the address to them inAKHIRAT and in actual, they are not addressed at thisworldly life directly in the Holy Book Quran, and even themention of this address at AKHIRAT to them is only sothat they understand that this worldly life is veryprecious for getting the true success and whosoever hasthe worldly life at hand must believe the Holy Book Qurannow and here so that he is not included in this address atthe Hereafter); it also addresses all the peoples of theworld at places; it also addresses JINN at places. Ittells the Man that life is an examination the result ofwhich would be had at HASHR, the first day of AKHIRAT(true life after this life). The Man has only one true aimof life and that is to worship Allah only living as His totalslave at all moments of life because He only is the True
  22. 22. Authority; He must be obeyed not only in religious ritesbut also in the political, economical and social activity asguided by the Holy Book Quran and the SUNNAH of theProphet PBUH. Allah told clearly that the Messengerswould come to the world to remind the message fromAllah. These three are basic teachings of the Holy BookQuran that Allah is the only True Authority and no-onemust be worshipped leaving Him or with Him, evenobedience to any one is subject to His obedience thatnobody would be obeyed where His disobedience takesplace and even love for anyone must not put anyone to Hisdisobedience; and Allah has provided ways (specially theraising of Messengers among all peoples, Muhammad PBUHbeing the last one) to remind the true aim of life andAKHIRAT would certainly take place where everyonewould get the result of the Belief and deeds he had doneat the world living anywhere at any-time; if man ponderson his own self and the Universe around, the Truth thatis given to him inside would answer insha-Allah and hewould still get to these three basic points of Belief. Nowas the Messengers would not come at the world as theProphet Muhammad PBUH was the last of Messengers, the Message of Allah exists written with us all in theform of the Holy Book Quran and the responsibility forits protection has been taken by Allah Himself so that HisWord is not violated that he would keep the Truth alwaysclear for all to accept or reject so no injustice takesplace when He judges all persons at the time of HASHR;everything that was related to the protection of its textand meaning was given protection. There stood peoplenamely HUFFAZ from the very time of its descent thatstill stand for it by the will of Allah so these HUFFAZremembered it word by word by heart and AHADITH,
  23. 23. that reported SUNNAH of the Last Prophet MuhammadPBUH and explained the Holy Book Quran, were providedsecurity by the will of Allah so that the clarification of itremains available at all times and places; Arabic still isvery much active language of the world and in fact, theHoly Book Quran receives, and has always received, themost-high value in Arabic literature. Note well thatMuslims were always protected from the enemy when theyhad put the Holy Book Quran into practice individually andcollectively; this tells us clearly that whoever andwhatever relates to it, Allah would certainly providesecurity for all such as He has taken the provision ofsuch security as His responsibility (see 15:9); Al-HamduLillah. The important thing to note about it here is thatit is a KITAB (Book) from Allah that has the manner ofKHITAB (Speech) from Allah; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Also notehere that the Holy Book Quran asks all the peoples ofthe world for five active attitudes towards it; to believeit, to read it, to understand it, to apply it to life and toask all to apply it to life. Also note that the Holy BookQuran is essentially not a book that guides to Science yetwhatever remarks it has given in the matters relating toPhysics, Biology, Chemistry, Astronomy, Earth-Studies,Marine-Studies etc. all are valid and never ever havebeen challenged by anyone who had studied any of thesesubjects well but with all said, this must remain clearthat the Holy Book Quran is the Message of Allah toguide all of Human-Beings (focusing on the individual)towards Righteousness, practically asking them all tofollow the SUNNAH and to avoid putting satanictemptations into practice, so that they all can come nearto Allah and with that, they all can save themselves fromthe fire of hell and gain the security of the beautiful
  24. 24. paradise; that is its only true designation; Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:1- “This is the Scripture whereof there is no doubt, a guidance unto those who ward off [evil]” (2:2).2- “O mankind! worship your Lord, Who hath created you and those before you, so that you may ward off [evil]” (2:21).3- “Allah said: O Adam! Inform them of their names, and when he had informed them of their names, He said: Did I not tell you that I know the secret of the heavens and the earth? And I know that which you disclose and which you hide. And when We said unto the angels: Prostrate yourselves before Adam, they fell prostrate, all save IBLIS. He demurred through pride, and so became a disbeliever. And We said: O Adam! Dwell thou and thy wife in the Garden, and eat you freely [of the fruits] thereof where you will; but come not nigh this tree lest you become wrong-doers. But Satan caused them to deflect there-from and expelled them from the [happy] state in which they were; and We said: Fall down, one of you a foe unto the other! There shall be for you on earth a habitation and provision for a time. Then Adam received from his Lord words [of revelation], and He relented toward him. Lo! He is the relenting, the Merciful. We said: Go down, all of you, from hence; but verily there cometh unto you from Me a guidance; and whoso follows My guidance, there shall no fear come upon them neither shall they grieve. But they who disbelieve, and deny Our
  25. 25. revelations, such are rightful Peoples of the Fire. They will abide therein.” (2:33 to 39).4- “Surely We have revealed the Reminder (the Holy Book Quran) and We will most surely be its guardian” (15:9).5- “I created the jinn and humankind only so that they worship Me” (51:56).6- “And [remember] when thy Lord brought forth from the Children of Adam, from their reins, their seed, and made them testify of themselves, [saying]: Am I not your Lord? They said: Yea, verily. We testify. [That was] lest you should say at the Day of Resurrection: Lo! of this we were unaware; Or lest you should say: [It is] only [that] our fathers ascribed partners to Allah of old and we were [their] seed after them. Wilt Thou destroy us on account of that which those who follow falsehood did? Thus we detail the revelations, that haply they may return (to righteousness)” (7:172, 173, 174).7- “O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesome in the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you. He enjoins upon you only the evil (injustice) and the foul (shameful deeds), and that you should tell concerning Allah that which you know not (assigning partners to Him in His authority)” (2:168, 169).8- “O you who believe! Come, all of you, into submission [unto Him]; and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! he is an open enemy for you” (2:208).
  26. 26. 9- “O People of the Scripture! Why will you argue about Abraham, when the Torah and the Gospel were not revealed till after him? Have you then no sense?” (3:65).10- “Ta. Sin. These are revelations of the Quran and a Scripture that makes plain; A guidance and good tidings for believers who establish worship and pay the poor-due and are sure of the Hereafter. Lo! as for those who believe not in the Hereafter, We have made their works fair-seeming unto them so that they are all astray. Those are they for whom is the worst of punishment, and in the Hereafter they will be the greatest losers. Lo! as for thee [Muhammad], thou verily receive the Quran from One Wise, Aware” (27-1 to 6).(e)-THE ONLY MIRACLEThe Holy Book Quran is much different in its manner ofdescent from TORAH (that means the PENTATEUCH that areGenesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers and Deuteronomy said tobe written by Moses A.S. himself by the guidance of Allahexcept for the narration of his passing away, though weMuslims do have the view that they are not in the originalform now) and also from INJIL that is the teachings of JesusChrist A.S. (some of this teaching is still available in someform inside the four initial booklets of the New Testamentthat are Matthew, Mark, Luke and John as it seems thatsermons as given by Jesus Christ are named as INJIL in theHoly Book Quran; there is some margin to take them as suchbut INJIL might be an indication to written work and thenthat might indicate these four named books that do containsome of these sermons of the great man and messenger ofAllah; these are the Gospel that actually means the teachingof Jesus Christ who was the highly righteous teacher of the
  27. 27. message of Allah; about these four booklets too we Muslimshave the view that they do not report the sermons of JesusChrist A.S. in the exact form). Note that the Quranaddresses both Jews and Christians as “people of the Book”meaning TORAH and not Books so INJIL might be referenceto the teachings of Jesus Christ and not to any particularwriting though there is an AAYAH of the Holy Book Quranthat reads “those who follow the messenger, the unletteredProphet, whom they find written with them in TORAH andINJIL” (7:157) yet at this place, the term INJIL might bean indication to the Gospel (the four specific booklets) thatwas and is available in the written form with some teachingsof Jesus Christ still intact in them; another better possibilityis that in Arabic one word referring to the first term doescome to the other term after it according to its ownrequirement, being understood as such, so for TORAH it is“written” and for INJIL it might be “mentioned”. AnotherAAAYAH also mentions a book that was given to Jesus yeteven that AAYAH provides the margin to take the mention asof TORAH and not INJIL in particular. The AAYAH reads,“He (ISA) said: Surely I am a servant of Allah; He has givenme (the understanding of) the Book and made me a prophet”(19:30). Yet at another place that is in SURAH AALE-IMRAN, we read, “She said: "O my Lord! How shall I have ason when no man hath touched me?" He said: "Even so: Allahcreates what He wills: When He hath decreed a plan, He butsays to it, Be, and it is! And Allah will teach him the Bookand the Wisdom, the TORAH and the INJIL” (3:47 & 48).Even here, the mention of Book seems towards TORAH whilethe mention of Wisdom seems towards INJIL as they arerespective terms to the Book and to the Wisdom in theAAYAH-48 here. It is interesting to note that in SURAH-MA’EDAH where the Holy Book Quran tells us about the
  28. 28. descent of TORAH on Moses (salaam on him) and INJIL onJesus Christ (salaam on him), it mentions TORAH as the Bookbut in mention of INJIL the term “Book” is not used (5:44 to60). However, when INJIL is referred as some book by thelearned persons in Islam, it denotes the four mentionedGospels of the N.T. by such reference. Note well that thewritings that are presented to us Muslims as TORAH andINJIL (PENTATEUCH only and sermons of Jesus Christ insidethe Four Booklets only of N.T. respectively), we take both ofthese to be somewhat different at places from the originalthat was provided by Allah to human-beings. Also note wellthat PENTATEUCH was lost and re-written after the freedomof the children of Israel from the captivity of the nationrelated to Nebuchadnezzar; and its translations andcommentaries at ancient times have also made muchdifference in it. As for the four initial books of the NewTestament that still have some teachings from the verbalteachings of Jesus Christ given by the guidance of Allah, theywere written much after the ascent of Jesus Christ toheavens alive as is known well so they also have been affectedadversely by the time-factor besides the comments on themat the ancient times that also affected those teachingsadversely so the alteration that took place in them is due tothe historical facts that are lapse of time-period in theirpresentation, change of their original language and additionsto them by comments that were given on them at the ancienttimes. The Holy Book Quran is the revelation in Arabic thatcame directly to the Prophet (PBUH) from Allah given to himby the angel JIBRAEL. The angel gave the message in clearArabic that the Prophet PBUH recited and remembered andjust as WAHI (i.e. the revelation) of that time was providedin total, dictated it to one or some of his companions so thatit comes into the written form at the very time. It is an
  29. 29. interesting point to note that the Holy Book Quran was notonly revealed as “meanings” to the Prophet Muhammad PBUHbut its words were also provided by Allah and that is whyULAMA (the scholars of Islamic Teachings) never did and stilldo not appreciate to publish the translation of the Holy BookQuran separately but in these times when the Holy BookQuran is easily available in its true form without any threatof loss to its text in any way, its translation might bepublished separately with high care when highly needed; Al-Hamdu Lillah. This WAHI when compiled in the form of theBook was named “QURAN” (i.e. the Book that has to be readon & on; it must be understood well too with total Belief). This explanation clearly tells that the Holy Book Quran isdifferent in its descent to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH, thelast of Prophets, as it was recited by the angel on his heart(spirit) for around 23 years; that is why the term TANZEELbesides INZAAL is also used for its descent that representsits descent in a period of time while INZAAL denotes itsdescent at one time as it was put into LAUHE-MEHFOOZ, thebook where about all things is written, and so this termdenotes its direct descent from Allah or in other words, itdenotes His Will directly; while TORAH (i.e. thePENTATEUCH that was only one book initially in its originalform) was written by Moses A.S. under the guidance of Allahwhile INJIL refers to the speech in the holy sermons ofJesus Christ A.S. under the guidance of Allah and loosely itmight be taken as the four basic books of the New Testamentthat somewhat records this speech; so Allah provided theseboth by INZAAL only. Note here that the Holy Book Quran isalso unique in this sense that it is the ONLY miracle that hasbeen presented through the last Prophet Muhammad PBUH. Tounderstand this point please note that in Islamic terms whenwe talk about miracles, it means some amazing indication
  30. 30. challenging the physical matters at attention of that giventime provided by Allah Himself that is not explained by anyphysical phenomenon and it is presented to those who get theinvitation to the Truth for the validity of the claim of theman that WAHI had descended on the man; now as WAHIhas ceased since the time of the last Prophet MuhammadPBUH so there are no more presentation of miracles thoughsome amazing happenings lesser in status than miracles mighttake place through highly pious Muslim persons that are namedas KARAMAT. This definition of the miracle tells us fourpoints relating to it that it is an occurrence that is mostamazing; it is clearly a challenge to the physical lawsespecially those that are of concern at that very era when itis presented and this challenge includes the call to providejust the same type of an occurrence if possible for thepersons addressed; it is by the direct act of Allah and notprovided by any man (not even the Messenger himself); it isspecifically presented as the miracle from Allah in favor ofthe Messenger and so it is for the validity of the claim of theProphet receiving WAHI from Allah. Note that keeping thesepoints in view, it becomes totally obvious that the Holy BookQuran is the ONLY miracle of Prophet Muhammad PBUH thathas been put forward to those addressed and in the HolyBook Quran, Allah tells us that whatever miracles that wereasked by those who were addressed and then that werepresented to them, they did not cause the disbelievers totake up the True Belief so they were not presented anymiracle at the time of the last Prophet Muhammad PBUHexcept for the Holy Book Quran; other amazing things likethe trunk of the Dates-Tree (HANNANA) that cried-outwhen a special seat other than it was made for the Prophet(PBUH) at MASJID-NABAWI and like water gushing out ofhis fingers and like the tearing of the Moon apart when he
  31. 31. was at MINA etc. are not taken to be his miracles in thestrict sense of the word as they do not fulfill the criteriaomitting the last point of the definition provided here andthese were limited to that very time and place too while themiracle for Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the last of Prophets, had to be that which remained a miracle in the coming timestoo as the sign for the validity of his claim. The Holy BookQuran fulfills the criteria in total and as no Messenger was tocome after Muhammad PBUH, Allah Himself took theresponsibility of its protection so from the time of its descentto this time, it is in its pure form inviting to the same truepath of life that was presented by all the Messengers sincethe first man who was also the first of Messengers i.e. AdamA.S. up-to the greatest of men who was also the last ofMessengers i.e. Muhammad PBUH; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Certainly,it still is the Miracle that can indicate that the ProphetMuhammad PBUH was indeed the Messenger of Allah if oneasking for true guidance only takes the trouble to study itwithout any prejudice whatsoever. Note that Islam means tosurrender the self to Allah accepting His Command only forlife here and in the coming world too and it is not based onthe name of any human-being; the TRUTH has always beenone and would remain so ever. As Moses (Salaam on him) wasprovided the miracle of the Staff that converted to a greatserpent and the miracle of the Shining-Hand by the commandof Allah in the era where magic was prevalent and as JesusChrist (Salaam on him) was provided the healing power and thepower to raise some of dead (even the birds he made of clayflew getting life) by the command of Allah in the era wherehigh doubts were prevalent if the leper could get well againand if the dead could really get life again, so the last ProphetMuhammad PBUH got the Holy Book Quran as the only proofthat comprised of most scholarly wisdom, of his claim to
  32. 32. prophet-hood by the command of Allah at the period. Notethat Arab was the place where the literate people thoughtthat nothing can surpass their power of speech and this factthat the Holy Book Quran is the most high scholarly wisdom, also denoted that the coming time would be the era ofknowledge and study where the Holy Book Quran would stillprove to be the Only Miracle of the last Prophet MuhammadPBUH; note here that the Holy Prophet PBUH was not amongthe literate people in the sense that he could neither read norwrite anything yet even SUNNAH (those of his teachingsverbally and practically that he has given in clarification ofthe Holy Book Quran), prove clearly that he was one of thegreatest symbols of wisdom indeed; that of-course is also oneof the sources to Islamic Commands. The Holy Book Quran isstill the miracle, the only miracle, that can provide totalproof to all those who take on them to read and understandits message even in these times of amazing scientificadvancement; Allah taught all the physical laws in essence toADAM A.S. as is understood by the Holy Book Quran (see2:30 to 34) yet for the spiritual guidance, even Adam had toturn to Allah to seek words for repentance. The only thingthe seeker of the Truth has to do is to concentrate on theinside rather than outside while reading it without prejudiceand he would surely get such amazingly high spiritualknowledge that would insha-Allah lead him to the trueguidance in all matters relating to the inside; they must readit not challenging it but asking guidance from it and so thatguidance Allah would provide well through it to them, in totalfor sure; Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:
  33. 33. 1- “Lo! Allah disdain not to coin the similitude even of a gnat. Those who believe know that it is the truth from their Lord;but those who disbelieve say: What doth Allah wish [to teach]by such a similitude? He misleads many thereby, and Heguides many thereby; and He misleads thereby onlymiscreants; those who break the covenant of Allah afterratifying it, and sever that which Allah ordered to be joined, and [who] make mischief in the earth: Those are they whoare the losers” (2:26 & 27)2- “This is for what your own hands have sent before andbecause Allah is not in the least unjust to the servants.(Those are they) who said: Surely Allah has enjoined us thatwe should not believe in any apostle until he brings us anoffering which the fire consumes. Say: Indeed, there came toyou apostles before me with clear arguments and with thatwhich you demand; why then did you kill them if you aretruthful?” (3:182 & 183)3- “Say: O followers of the Book! you follow no good till youkeep up the TORAH and the INJIL and that which is revealedto you from your Lord (the Holy Book Quran); and surely thatwhich has been revealed to you from your Lord shall makemany of them increase in inordinacy and unbelief; grieve nottherefore for the unbelieving people. Surely those who believeand those who are Jews and the Sabians and the Christianswhoever believes in Allah and the last day and does good (i.e.believes righteously today coming to Islam and also meansthat who had believed righteously before the advent of theProphet PBUH, on Allah and the last day), they shall have nofear nor shall they grieve. Certainly We made a covenant withthe children of Israel and We sent to them apostles;whenever there came to them an apostle with what that their
  34. 34. souls did not desire, some (of them) did they call liars andsome they slew” (5:68 to 70).4- “Those who follow the Apostle-Prophet, the UMMI (i.e.not literate), whom they find written down with them in theTORAH and (mentioned in) the INJIL (who) enjoins them goodand forbids them evil, and makes lawful to them the goodthings and makes unlawful to them impure things, and removesfrom them their burden and the shackles which were uponthem; so (as for) those who believe in him and honor him andhelp him, and follow the light which has been sent down withhim, these are that are the successful” (7:157)5- “And they say: Why does he not bring to us a sign fromhis Lord? Has not there come to them a clear evidence ofwhat is in the previous writings? And had We destroyed themwith chastisement before this, they would certainly have said:O our Lord! why didst Thou not send to us an apostle, forthen we should have followed Thy communications (AAYAH)before that we met disgrace and shame. Say: Every one (ofus) is awaiting, therefore do await; So you will come to knowwho is the follower of the even path and who goes aright”(20: last three AAYAH).6- “And certainly We have set forth for men every kind ofexample in this Quran; and if you should bring them amiracle, those who disbelieve would certainly say: You arenaught but false claimants. Thus does Allah set a seal on thehearts of those who do not know. Therefore be patient;surely the promise of Allah is true and let not those who haveno certainty hold you in light estimation” (30: last threeAAYAH).
  35. 35. 7- “And if their turning away is hard on you, then if you canseek an opening (to go down) into the earth or a ladder (toascend up) to heaven so that you should bring them an AAYAH(a sign; a miracle) and if Allah had pleased He would certainlyhave gathered them all on guidance, therefore be not of theignorant” (6:35).8- “O you who believe! Believe in Allah and His Messenger, and the scripture which He hath sent to His Messenger andthe scripture which He sent to those before. Any who deniesAllah, His angels, His Books (sent from Adam A.S. up-toMuhammad PBUH), His Messengers, and the Day ofJudgment, has gone far, far astray” (4:136).9- “Say: Consider what is it that is in the heavens and theearth; and signs (miracles) and warnings do not avail a peoplewho would not believe. What do they wait for then but thelike of the days (of destruction) of those who passed awaybefore them? Say: Wait then; surely I too am with you ofthose who wait. Then We deliver Our apostles and those whobelieve - even so (now), it is binding on Us (that) We deliverthe believers. Say: O people! if you are in doubt as to myDEEN (the path of life), then (know that) I do not servethose whom you serve besides Allah but I do serve Allah,Who will cause you to die, and I am commanded that I shouldbe of the believers. And that you should keep your coursetowards the DEEN uprightly; and you should not be of thepolytheists. And do not call besides Allah on that which canneither benefit you nor harm you, for if you do then surelyyou will in that case be of the unjust. And if Allah shouldafflict you with harm, then there is none to remove it butHe; and if He intends good to you there is none to repel Hisgrace; He brings it to whom He pleases of His servants; and
  36. 36. He is the Forgiving, the Merciful. Say: O people! indeed therehas come to you the Truth from your Lord, therefore whoevergoes aright, he goes aright only for the good of his own soul, and whoever goes astray, he goes astray only to thedetriment of it, and I am not a custodian over you. Andfollow what is revealed to you and be patient till Allah shouldgive judgment, and He is the best of judges” (10: last 9AAYAH). 2- OVERVIEW OF CONCEPTS (comprises of MAQSADE-ZINDAGI, KAARE-NABUWAT, DEEN, ADL & EHSAAN, AKHIRAT)a-MAQSADE-ZINDAGIThe term MAQSADE-ZINDAGI means the true aim of lifeand according to the teachings of Islam, the only true aim oflife for both men and women is to accept the Guidance ofAllah in all matters of life surrendering the self to His TrueAuthority; He tells us in the Quran that “I created the jinnand humankind only so that they worship Me” (51:56). Theword for worship is by Arabic letters AIN, BA, DAAL andthat implies total slavery to Allah as that is how the personaccepting Him as the Only True Lord lives-on. The Belief anddeeds must be according to the guidance sent by Allahtowards Humankind and at this present time, the Holy BookQuran is the only authentic source to know, believe andpractice the TRUTH understanding it by the SUNNAH of theProphet PBUH. This guidance was provided time and againgetting perfection at the golden period of the last ProphetMuhammad PBUH because Allah had given His Word to Adamthat He would provide guidance showing the true path thoughit depends on everyone himself/herself to accept it or reject
  37. 37. it. So the worldly life is an examination where the True Beliefwith righteous deeds done would lead to getting JANNAH(Paradise) in AKHIRAT (the true coming life). The result thata person gets JANNAH is the true success according to theIslamic Teachings whereas the rise in the worldly life bywealth & status is nothing when care for the Islamic Moralityis not observed; SUCCESS means to get JANNAH in thecoming true life by keeping to worship of Allah only and thereis no other success according to Islam (see 3:185). JANNAHwould not be given without any efforts but the children ofAdam A.S. would have to prove now after the mistake AdamA.S. & Eve A.S. made eating the prohibited fruit that theydo deserve to get their true destination, the JANNAH (theeternal beautiful-garden with all pleasures available to therecipient); those who would not be able to prove their validityfor JANNAH as they had not accepted the Truth when theTruth had been presented to them at the worldly life, theywould not get it but instead they would receive the tormentof hell (the eternal fire). The Messengers that Allah had senttime and again up-to the last Prophet Muhammad (PBUH)would bear witness at HASHR (the first day of AKHIRAT)that they had provided the guidance sent by Allah to thepeople and that they had not slacked in their duty in any way;this duty of SHAHADAT-ALAN-NAAS (to witness over thepeople) has to be carried-out by the Muslims as a whole atHASHR when they had provided the Message of Islam to thepeople after Prophet Muhammad PBUH, the last messenger ofAllah, if and when asked to bear witness against them. This isinteresting to note that Allah has taken the charge to providefor the basic physical need that is food & water to sustainlife to each and every person who does ask for it from Himand He has also taken the responsibility to provide for thebasic spiritual need that is Guidance to the Truth to each and
  38. 38. every person who does ask for it from Him (that is why thepunishment; and sometimes the examination; is put in theworld by hunger onto the disobedient ungrateful people and byhigh fear of great calamities ahead onto these people if theytake their wit enough to face troubles of all sorts withouttaking guidance from Allah as the Holy Book Quran hasinformed at places as for instance 16:112); Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:1- “I created the jinn and humankind only that they worshipMe” (51:56).2- “We said: Get down all of you from this place (theParadise), then whenever there comes to you Guidance fromMe, and whoever follows My Guidance, there shall be no fearon them, nor shall they grieve. But those who disbelieve andbelie Our AAYAH (proofs, evidences, verses, signs, revelations) such are the dwellers of the Fire, they shallabide therein forever” (2:38 & 39).3- “Everyone shall taste death. And only on the Day ofResurrection shall you be paid your wages in full. And whoeveris removed away from the Fire and admitted to JANNAH, heindeed is successful. The life of this world is only theenjoyment of deception” (3:185).4- “And whoever does good deeds whether male or female andhe (or she) is a believer - these shall enter the garden, andthey shall not be dealt with a jot unjustly. And who has abetter religion than he who submits himself entirely to Allah? And he is the doer of good (to others) and follows the faithof Ibrahim, the upright one, and Allah took Ibrahim asfriend” (4:124 & 125).
  39. 39. 5- “Those who say: Our Lord is Allah, then continue in theright way, the angels descend upon them, saying: Fear not,nor be grieved, and receive good news of the garden whichyou were promised. We are your guardians in this worlds lifeand in the hereafter, and you shall have therein what yoursouls desire and you shall have therein what you ask for; aprovision from the Forgiving, the Merciful” (41:30, 31, 32).6- “O you who believe! Observe your duty to Allah with rightobservance, and die not save as those who have surrendered[unto Him]. And hold fast, all of you together, to the cableof Allah, and do not separate. And remember Allahs favorunto you: How you were enemies and He made friendshipbetween your hearts so that you became as brothers by Hisgrace; and [how] you were upon the brink of an abyss of fire, and He did save you from it. Thus Allah makes clear Hisrevelations unto you, that haply you may be guided. And theremust spring from you a nation who invite to goodness, andenjoin right conduct and forbid indecency. Such are they whoare successful” (3:102, 103, 104).7- “The weighing on that day is true. As for those whosescale is heavy, they are the successful. And as for thosewhose scale is light, those are the persons who did loss totheir souls because they used to wrong Our AAYAH (therevelations)” (7:8 & 9).8- “There is no moving creature on earth but its sustenancedepends on Allah; He knows the time and place of its definiteabode and its temporary deposit; all is in a clear Record”(11:6).9- “And thus We have made you a medium (just) nation thatyou may be the bearers of witness to the people and (that)
  40. 40. the Messenger may be a bearer of witness to you; and Wedid not make that which you would have to be the QIBLAHbut that We might distinguish him who follows the Messengerfrom him who turns back upon his heels, and this was surelyhard except for those whom Allah has guided aright; andAllah was not going to make your faith to be fruitless; mostsurely Allah is Affectionate, Merciful to the people” (2:143).10- “But how will be (with them) when We bring of everypeople a witness, and We bring you a witness against these?”(4:41).b-KAARE-NABUWATThe term KAARE-NABUWAT means the responsibilities thatthe last Prophet Muhammad PBUH had to fulfill and that wasto recite (TILAWAT) the AAYAH of the Holy Book Quran toall the people as they had descended, to teach them aboutthe Holy Book Quran (TA’LIM-UL-KITAB) and to teach themthis Holy Book at much higher level too (TA’LIM-UL-HIKMAT)providing the true wisdom through it and to purify all thepeople (their inside) by the moral teachings that it gives forthe spiritual cleanliness (TAZKIYAH that means to clean theheart from the love of worldly things); see 2:151 & 152. TheProphet PBUH did the work totally well and AHADITH(narration of SUNNAH i.e. his words, deeds and even silenceover matters) prove the point very clearly; Al-Hamdu Lillah.Allah tells us in the Holy Book Quran that “He it is Who sentHis Apostle with guidance and the Righteous DEEN (completecode of life) that He might cause it to prevail over all codesof life” (9:33, 48:28, 61:9) so the ultimate result of sendingthe last Prophet i.e. Muhammad PBUH, when he has done histask well of providing guidance to all people, would be thatthe authority of Allah would be established even in the world
  41. 41. as is clear by these AAYAH giving the same message by thesame words in different SURAH; this happened as the historyrecords well. After the last Prophet PBUH, this task falls onus Muslims to spread the teachings of the Holy Book Quranand clarify them as much as possible and with that, Insha-Allah the world would again change to better. This resultwould establish itself by the permission of Allah (BE-IDHNE-ALLAH) when we Muslims try our best to fulfill His commandsand the point to note is that we Muslims have to believe as amatter of Faith that everything takes place by His Will butas for practice, we have to fulfill His commands as His askingfrom us in practice is that certainly; we must care about Hispleasure for that we know by the Holy Book Quran and theSUNNAH and as for His will, He knows better. With ourtotal adherence to Islamic Commands, such result wouldnecessarily take place that Islam would manifest in allmatters of life all over the world where Muslims live inextremely high number as is clear by the AAYAH quoted; notethat TAWAKKUL (trust on Allah) means to do whateverhumanly possible for Him then leave results to Him only forHe knows better. Here, I would remark on the high status ofthe Prophet PBUH as according to Islam, obedience to him isone of the necessary things. In Islam, there are three thingsthat provide guidance towards Allah and as such, have to befollowed; these are the Holy Book Quran, AHADITH andIJMA (consensus of ULAMA, the learned scholars of Islam).Note that AHADITH provide such ways that practice on thecommand of Allah remains easy in the society while IJMA,though it does not provide any command in theory or practice, provides the designation that the commands received from theHoly Book Quran and from AHADITH for its practicalimplication have for them; as such to fulfill the demand of allthese three is necessary for Muslims to height. Whereas the
  42. 42. Holy Book Quran is complete Islam in theory for all times andplaces, the SUNNAH of the Prophet PBUH is complete Islamin practice for all times and places; the placement of theircommands are known by IJMA. The practice on Al-KITAB(the Book i.e. the Holy Book Quran) and on SUNNAH (i.e.the teachings of the last Prophet PBUH as available bynarrations that are named as AHADITH) is necessary to keepto SIRATE-MUSTAQIM (the Righteous-Way of Allah) andthe status of the commands received from these two that arethe commands of Allah only (as the Prophet PBUH alsoprovided the clarification of commands of Allah only by hisSUNNAH), is known by IJMA. Here we must deal with adelicate matter and that is commands given by the ProphetPBUH as the Prophet of Allah and as just a Human-Being.Note that whatever commands he gave in the former statusare necessary to obey while the commands that he gave in thelatter status were not so. However, when he was at the worldit was easy to detect the status in which he gave thecommands as he could have been asked for that; SAHABA(the companions of the Prophet PBUH) did ask for that attimes and even disagreed with a few of his decisions by hisown consent. It is improbable now to know about any suchdecision that might seem open to debate whether it wasprovided by him in the status of the Prophet of Allah or inthe status of a Human-Being; as such all his commands, including those about which certainty is not possible that theywere given as a human only, must be obeyed as to err withpractice of commands that he gave as a Human is better thanto err leaving them though it is totally feasible to understandthe AHADITH in the light of the guidance provided on themby the ULAMA at the ancient times, especially by the 4IMAMS that are MAALIK, SHAFA’I, AHMED IBN HANBALand ABU-HANIFA. It is a point to note well that obedience
  43. 43. to the Prophet Muhammad PBUH is actually the obedience ofAllah and as such, it is included in the worship of Allah only. The Holy Book Quran tells clearly, “He who obeys theMessenger, obeys Allah; But if any turn away, We have notsent thee to watch over their-selves” (4:80).Reference:1- (ABRAHAM and ISHMAEL made DUA that) “O Our Lord!send amongst them a Messenger of their own, who shall reciteThy AYAH (Signs) to them and instruct them in the Book andthe wisdom, and sanctify them; For Thou art the Exalted inMight, the Wise” (2:129).2- “A similar (favor) in that We have sent among you aMessenger of your own who recites to you Our AYAH andsanctifies you and teaches you the Book and the wisdom andteaches you that which you did not know” (2:151).3- “Certainly Allah conferred a benefit upon the believerswhen He raised among them an Apostle from among their-selves, reciting to them His AYAH and purifying them, andteaching them the Book and the wisdom, although before thatthey were surely in manifest error” (3:164).4- “He who obeys the Messenger, obeys Allah; But if anyturn away, We have not sent thee to watch over their-selves(their evil deeds)” (4:80).5- “O you who believe! Obey Allah, and obey the Messenger, and those charged with authority among you. If you differ inanything among yourselves, refer it to Allah and HisMessenger, if you do believe in Allah and the Last Day; Thatis the best and most suitable for final determination” (4:59).
  44. 44. 6- “And whatever the Apostle gives you, accept it, and fromwhatever he forbids you, keep back, and be careful of (yourduty to) Allah; surely Allah is severe in paying-back (of evil)”(59:7).c-DEENDEEN actually means “the path of life” and that is why it isliterally taken to mean “religion”. However, this use of theword does not convey its true meaning as it in actual denotes“the complete code of life”. For religion, there is anotherword that is MADHAB and the term DEEN enfolds all mattersof life including religion; that is why its use in the Holy BookQuran indicates “the whole system of life” that Allah hasprovided for the mankind; see 3:83. It is interesting to notethat in SURAH-YOUSUF, the twelfth SURAH, there arewords used that are commonly used in their true specificmeanings yet at this SURAH, they are used not only in theirtrue specific meanings at one AAYAH but also in their literalmeanings at other AAYAH. These include the word DEEN thatoccurs at AYAH-76 that means the whole system of the law& order the King of Egypt of the time had set-up while in theAYAH-40 of this same SURAH, DEEN has been used for thetotal code of life set by Allah with the adjective-wordQAYYIM (righteous). DEEN is the guidance that all theMessengers of Allah came to convey to the people; the lastProphet PBUH conveying it to the maximum height that isstandard to follow for all times and all places. This point istotally worthy to note that whenever and wherever Muslimshad a downfall, it was due to taking Islam as only a religionand due to that, getting far-away from the teachings of theHoly Book Quran while in actual it is DEEN, providingcommands for all matters of life asking to take them up into
  45. 45. each and every field of life. This fact is clearest for allthose who take some trouble to study the recent history ofpast two centuries or so in which Muslims have faced a veryhigh challenge from the West who gave it in different ways,at first by direct imperialism and then through the personsamong Muslims that were inclined to consider the success ofthe worldly life as the true goal of man practically, so thatthe West might have a say in Muslims politically. The Westhas tried and is trying to lead Muslims to concepts that aretotally alien to the Islamic mode of living as it can bear Islamas a religion like all other religions where Muslims feel ease tofulfill their religious duties; even enhancing the attitude totake it as such; but it is totally abhorrent to tolerate theattitude of taking it as DEEN that it actually is according tothe Holy Book Quran as then it is a challenge clearly to theirman-made systems of life that is based on secularismpolitically, interest & gamble economically and worldly equalityof men and women in the social aspect of life that causesdegradation to women who are asked to live as men onlywithout any financial rights on men and even taking-up highlyshameful attitude in the name of consent if they will; notethat based on the teachings of the Holy Book Quran and theSUNNAH of the last Prophet PBUH, Islam is the onlychallenger today to injustice (initiated by wrongful men) andshameful-attitude (initiated by wrongful women) asking tokeep attention towards Allah only; Al-Hamdu Lillah. Muslimsdid face political challenges after the Last Prophet MuhammadPBUH yet ultimately they managed to come out of them welldue to their high adherence to the teachings of the Holy BookQuran as the recognition of the fact that Islam is thecomplete code of life to follow was never lost even at mostadverse of times among Muslims. The highest challenges thatthey have faced are three that are the challenge they took
  46. 46. on themselves going for JIHAD towards the known world justafter the passing away of the Prophet PBUH so that Islamspreads all over the world and with that, the threat to theIslamic code of life comes to minimum and at that time theytotally diminished and eliminated the power of the RomanEmpire and the Persian Kingdom respectively by theauthorization of Allah; the second challenge they received wasfrom CHENGHEZ KHAN and his heirs that destroyed all thepolitical power of Muslims in the thirteenth century AD andfrom which they came out well as due to good manner ofTABLIGH of Islamic Teachings, the descendants ofCHENGHEZ KHAN converted to Islam, by the authorization ofAllah; the third challenge is the present time that is still inprogress since a couple of past centuries or so. This challengehas been most severe and most trying as it has been inprogress since a very long period while it is now spread to allover the world so by time and space, it is the most deadlychallenge Muslims have ever faced in their history afterMuhammad PBUH, the last messenger of Allah; most certainlythis time is the last of times. It seems that it is not to leaveby the holy war JIHAD (that ended-up the first challenge forMuslims after the passing-away of the Prophet PBUH) or/andeven by the conveying of the Truth clearly i.e. TABLIGH(that winded-up the second one); now what to do. ByAHADITH, it seems that this is the time very near toQAYAMAT (the last day of the world) and the stage is setfor DAJJAL (antichrist) to come at fore any-time. The resultwould insha-Allah again come in favor of true Muslims thoughthey would have to give some high sacrifice of the worldlybenefits and more than that they would have to adhere fastto the Holy Book Quran; they would have to remain totallyafar from the present challengers to Islam totally in contrastto their dealing with such people in the past though that
  47. 47. ultimate attitude might come with JIHAD to the height andwith TABLIGH to the height in the process towards it. Sonow it seems that even though we Muslims have trust butlittle on the West and there also seems a mistrust on usMuslims, this third severe challenge from their side toMuslims might finish-off by a respectable pact in which bothagree totally to keep away from each other in all wayspossible; we would have to bring the West to such situationasking Allah for His assistance so that we do achieve thisgoal; this would hopefully lead to the betterment of thehumankind and Allah knows better; Al-Hamdu Lillah.Reference:1- “DEEN before Allah is only Islam (submission to His Will). And the People of the Book did not dissent there-from exceptthrough envy of each other, after knowledge had come tothem. But if any deny the AAYAH of Allah, Allah is swift incalling to account” (3:19).2- “Do they seek for other than DEEN of Allah? while allcreatures in the heavens and on earth have, willing orunwilling, bowed to His Will, and to Him shall they all bebrought back” (3:83).3- (Yousuf said), “You do not serve besides Him but nameswhich you have named, you and your fathers; Allah has notsent down any authority for them; judgment is only Allahs; He has commanded that you shall not serve aught but Him;this is the righteous DEEN but most people do not know”(12:40).4- “We will soon show them Our signs in the Universe and intheir own souls, until it will become quite clear to them that it
  48. 48. is the truth. Is it not sufficient as regards your Lord that Heis witness over all things?” (41:53).5- “And We will most certainly try you with somewhat of fearand hunger and loss of property and lives and fruits; and givegood news to the patient, who, when a misfortune befallsthem, say, -‘Surely we are Allahs and to Him we shall surelyreturn’-” (2:155 & 156).6- “This day have I perfected for you your DEEN andcompleted My NEMAT on you (NEMAT i.e. blessing, mentioned for Muslims here, means authority over all peoplesof the world when they keep to Islam) and chosen for youIslam as DEEN” (5:3).d-ADL & EHSAANADL literally means “Justice” and EHSAAN literally means“Good-Faith”; these both attitudes are necessary to have inthe Islamic Society for the implementation of the IslamicCommands, the Commands of Allah. On the basis of individualtoo, these attitudes have to be developed for the bettermentof life yet they are highly important at the level ofadministration. We dont need to take actions that aresudden or imposed by force as Islamic Values command arespect naturally that dont need such a forced way ofmanifesting themselves so Insha Allah the current society canbe changed into an Islamic Society by taking some steps ofelimination into practice by the persons in authority or in anypowerful position to influence the current society easily, caring about negation of wrongs, while the necessary goodattitudes that would develop for the consolidation of IslamicValues would take place as a matter of natural inclinationinsha-Allah. Mind it that this authority is the AMANAT
  49. 49. (Trust) given by Allah that must be used to put AllahsCommands into practice as much as possible; Al-Hamdu Lillah. When Islam is accepted totally by heart making the Belieftotally righteous; believing Allah as the Only One Authoritythat has to be worshipped, truly obeyed and truly loved;believing that the Messengers have provided the message ofAllah well and Muhammad PBUH was the last of them;believing that AKHIRAT (the Life after this worldly life) hasto come where the result for this life’s belief and doingswould come at fore; then the point to note is that the IslamicTeachings guide us that the highest of physical blessing theman has received from Allah is his built and strength speciallywhen he is at his youth while the highest of physical blessingthe woman has received from Allah is her charm and beautyspecially when she is at her youth; and for the betterment ofdeeds, these two blessings have been addressed directly bythe Holy Book Quran at places by asking to avoid INJUSTICEand SHAMEFUL-BEHAVIOR. In fact, AYAH-168 & 169 ofthe second SURAH i.e. BAQARAH provides the total IslamicManifesto to apply for the conversion of environment to theIslamic Society well by addressing these two matters; theyread, “O mankind! Eat of that which is lawful and wholesomein the earth, and follow not the footsteps of the devil. Lo! heis an open enemy for you. He enjoins upon you only the evil(injustice) and the foul (shameful deeds), and that you shouldtell concerning Allah that which you know not (assigningpartners to Him in His authority)”. In the world we havetoday, the strength of the man includes his official status toowhile glamorous attraction of the woman besides her naturalbeauty is also included in the blessing she has been providedby Allah; note that the Man and the Woman are equal in thematters of AKHIRAT yet in this world, the Woman has beengiven in the shelter of the Man for her own advantage as her
  50. 50. father has the responsibility to see to her economic needsand her security in all ways according to the teachings of theHoly Book Quran before her marriage and her husband isliable for that after marriage. Accordingly, the man has tosee that nothing objectionable by Islamic Values takes placeby the strength he has (and that might be his officialstrength) that leads to the occurrence of INJUSTICE andthe woman has to see keeping to HEJAB that nothing adverseto Islamic Values takes place by the natural beauty thatattracts men that leads to the occurrence of SHAMEFUL-BEHAVIOR; the Islamic Administration must give attention atthe environment for both of these matters by ADL andEHSAAN respectively. The actual work to do is to guideattention towards the Holy Book Quran getting it into practicetotally instead of going for material-gains & worldly-status.If you read the views of the Western thinkers that havemade an adverse mark on the environment of the world as ofnow, you would find that they all, in the good-name of deep-thought, have tried to prove intentionally or unintentionallythat the Man is only an animal; they have disregarded hisspiritual existence totally (in fact under the influence of suchthinkers given to worldly adoration, Taxonomy as of today, takes the Man as such); this indeed is an idiotic thought yetsadly I remark that it has its adverse impression all over theworld as of now and not a single notable person of highintelligence even among Muslims, is challenging it fairly. Notethat Karl Marx tried to focus on the human economic-problememphasizing the animal trait of satiating physical needsespecially of food and drink. Sigmund Freud tried his best toillustrate the man as bound to his animal-desire (the sexual-drive) telling us that this only is the focus of actions thatman takes; his colleague Adler challenging him only by focusingon another trait of wild powerful animals that is to mark their
  51. 51. individuality by being guards to their own territory (takingterritories of others too by force if possible) even if thatasks for high violence and killing the enemy ferociously.Machiavelli is not far from Adler when he focuses at the samemanifestation of display of power for territories that animalspresent at times justifying that for the sake of “nationalism”;he also justifies putting all sorts of trouble onto itschallengers even if that retaliation is totally out of proportionin extreme as is the retaliation of vicious wild animals whenthey challenge each other. Darwin does not even take thetrouble to conceal his share of this same idiotic thought eachof these have (they all share the view that the man is but ananimal only though each focuses on the man by the animaltendency of his own choice); he presents the man as thedescendant of some animal that took different forms withtime and place to come to the physical status as of today asto survive against the force of environment he had facednaming this conversion as the survival of the fittest. Theseare only few prominent names among the many of Westernthinkers that propagate that the man is but an animal eachfocusing on the animal trait of his own choice and this list isactually a very long one with a great number of noted“thinkers” telling us in their own respective ways without anyshame that the man is nothing but physique only that is thebasis to DAJJALI-thought. This idiotic thought that the manis only an animal has never been proved and would never beproved for sure as his spiritual-feature is most clear to markhis difference so on the contrary, the expression of Human-Faculty all the time disprove it; Al-Hamdu Lillah; yet therepetition of this idiocy at gatherings of seemingly soberthoughtful persons and no challenge to it there, have led toits taking grounds among the learned; however this onlydemonstrates that the psyche of the man has still to learn
  52. 52. much to avoid the direct attack from Satan when he presentssome high wrong with some matter that does have some truthin it. Note that this idiotic thought was presented whenScience was on the way to show many accurate physical lawsclearly that were operating around us. Against this idioticthought, Islam tells us that the Man is born between theAngelic-Character and the Animal-Character having both theaspects in his Humane-Character; he must either live at theAngelic-Character by the spiritual development that is theasking of EHSAAN or either live at-least at the sameHumane-Character at which he was basically born (named asFITHRAT) that is the asking of ADAL; he must never live atthe Animal-Character and the point to note here is that he isallowed by Islam to fulfill his physical needs up-to necessityby valid means according to the Islamic Viewpoint as thatwould let him remain on the Humane-Character with noadversity to that. Strangely, the only state that Islam hasforbidden to live upon that is the Animal-Character, isprecisely that which has been asked by the idiotic-thought ofone-sided worldly thinkers who left aside the guidance ofAllah totally putting their total trust on their own minds; thisleads to disintegration of the person accepting it at theindividual level and to high chaos at the environment; this ishow Satan works. Note that such people would surely getwhat they deserve at AKHIRAT yet even in this world, theresult to such thinking is a punishment of hunger or/and allsorts of fear that is put on such people as these both arewhat animals have to deal with all the time and this fact canbe elucidated by pondering on the verse-112 of the 16thSURAH where they have been mentioned as punishment to therejecters of blessings of Allah. As the presentation of thesolid scientific laws that led to amazing inventions coincidedwith the time when the focus became high on the idiotic-
  53. 53. thought that told that the man is but an animal only, it wasreceived by the same enthusiasm as the former by numerouspeoples of the world, most of them highly disturbed by theirreligious leaders, that had but little sense of distinction ifsome wrong was presented to them with addition to some rightin that. Satan does manage his work in this way and note thathe was able to misguide the first couple of Human-Beings,Adam & Eve, by this technique and now, at the nearing of theLast-Day, he has used the same technique with full-flareagain to get the game his way for once and for all. Note thatthe worldly-life is given to us to prove that we really deserveJANNAH by the True-Faith believing that Allah Only is theTrue-Lord and in conformation, doing the Righteous-Deeds; itis not for any other reason so we must prove ourselves up-tothe task. It might seem a difficult task at the present timesbut that is due to the position we have put ourselves in; thepatient at high fever feels a bitter taste even in the goodfood yet that is good for his health for sure; this task inactual is not difficult once we all apply ourselves collectivelyto it with total belief in Allah, the True Lord, living at ADAL(satisfying our worldly physical necessities by valid meansaccording to the Islamic Viewpoint yet not asking for more)and taking-up EHSAAN too where we can manage to controlour animal-desires totally; that control comes by eating cleanfoods yet less in quantity and sleeping less. Note thatTAWWAKKUL (having trust in Allah) means to do whateverpossible in a given situation according to the Quran & theSUNNAH and then leave the result to the True Lord Allahfor He knows better; His will is TAQDIR (Fortune & Fate);Al-Hamdu Lillah. There must be the practice of the fivepillars of Islam without any force of law so it would remain atEHSAAN in the Islamic Environment; yet they have to bepracticed collectively by Muslims as the Holy Book Quran
  54. 54. teaches and the administration must facilitate the practice ofall these five to utmost ability and if they do not manifestclearly at the Islamic environment collectively in practice thenfor the time-being, administration must formulate ways thatbring about their manifestation clearly at the Islamicenvironment collectively in practice; these five are DHIKRwhich means to recite KALIMAH with total heart thatdenotes the glory of Allah always remembering Him inconversation and in all matters of life, five times dailySALAH, payment of ZAKAH (the charity amount) once a year, keeping of SAUM that is fasting in the holy month ofRAMADHAN and performance of HAJJ once in the life-time.Besides the practice of these five well that must remainintact at all times and at all places; it would be highlyfeasible for the Islamic Cause if the law of the land could beconverted in total favor of the ordinary man and specially, matters relating to property must be taken out from thedealing of official law as of now, even the buying and sellingof it, and some method for it to deal outside the court mustbe adopted well; the people must not be troubled forverifications and proofs for any of their documentation exceptfor the basic document made once for the whole worldly life, and all other works related to verifications and proofsafterwards would be the task of Government-officers; theywould have to visit people and places necessary to see to thatfor each and everyone where and when needed; the ordinarypeople must ask Allah in this current time that Allah savesthem from the injustice of the law of the land that is againstthe Holy Book Quran and save them from the evil of thosepeople that are well-versed in the law of the land yet totallylacking in the knowledge of the Holy Book Quran and so intendfor their trouble only. So with this step of taking-up the fivepillars of Islam in practice keeping well in mind that man is
  55. 55. not an animal for sure, please note the following detail ofelimination needed for the formation of an Islamic Society atany given environment as of today that would insha-Allahconvert it to the Islamic environment; ULAMA must be takenon-board for the task. Note that (a)-All Muslims must believetotally that Allah is the only True Authority. (b)-All forms ofinjustice would be eliminated by ADAL (that is power of theLaw that Islamic Teachings give to us Muslims) for whichfirstly, the clauses of the law of the land that are un-Islamicwould be eliminated; secondly, beatings to children for thepurpose of their education and beatings to the accusedpersons for their confession of crimes specially putting themin shameful condition, would be eliminated; thirdly, postmortem of human bodies for the sake of medical education orin the name of justice would be eliminated; fourthly, muchpaper work and documentation needed for official purposeswould be eliminated (and that would remain near to none hereinsha-Allah in all walks of life) and this implies that briberyto officials for the works that the Administration pays themto do or even for any other reason, would be eliminated;fifthly, by good substitutions like QARDH-HASANAH that isprovision of long-term loan without interest, the practice totake usury & interest in the Economics Field, would beeliminated; sixthly, extreme poverty (MEHROOMEE), whereone does not find even basic necessities to fulfill ones needand the needs of those who are dependant on one, andextreme wealth where one considers that he is able to dowhatever right or wrong he wills by his wealth, would beeliminated; seventhly, by necessary TABLEEGH of keeping toJustice that is asked by the teaching of the Holy Book Quranin collective manner, there would be stoppage to all evileffects of Satan on that blessed Islamic Environment and soinsha-Allah with these seven points, injustice would be
