  • Delighted to be here and particularly pleased to be getting an opportunity to provide maybe some wider context about the delivery of cultural services to inform the debates you are no doubt having about what that means for you, your area of interest, and the services you are charged with delivering. Today – am going to try and do 3 things today in my presentation: Reflect on the national influences on local government and cultural services which we all need to be aware of and take account of in delivering cultural services Consider some practical responses and approaches to responding to the challenges and opportunities we are currently being presented with drawing on examples about what we have done in Perth and Kinross Focus in on one particular practical project which we are currently undertaking which I hope will be of interest and potential application within your own areas – and hopefully finish on time and on a high – both of which are always good.....!!!
