  • tevii tevii Can you tell me the source that says Horus was dismembered by Set? Osiris was dismembered by Set not Horus. Horus sought revenge for his father Osiris. 2 years ago

  • schumacr Robin Schumacher SidheRocks: Take all the time you need. And yes, I've heard various people suggest Christ was born in the Summer, however I haven't seen any explicit Biblical support provided. 3 years ago

  • SidheRocks SidheRocks Hello Robin, I plan to further specify what I have shared below, however as I am presently busy (and only return because I was alerted to via e-mail) I'd like to return when I'm more free in my time.

One thing I'd like to clarify, however, you said:

'(2) you say that is 'FAR' from the birth of Christ, but yet you say He is just a myth. How can a myth have a real birthday? '

Fictional characters may have their birthdays. Harry Potter was born in July 30th. (I don't say this to insult you or compare your legend to that of --yet another-- popular and beloved book) but mainly just to prove a point. The bible specifies that said messiah was born during the summer. I trust you already know of such passage? If not, I shall fish it when I'm free.

  • schumacr Robin Schumacher SidheRocks - thank you for your comments. I find it interesting that you believe Jesus of Nazareth was a myth and not a historical person. Strangely, not one reputable scholar or historian - Christian or secular - agrees with you. But perhaps you have new evidence to overturn the scholarly work of historians like Dr. Gary Habermas in books such as The Historical Jesus where he chronicles many ancient historical sources for the life of Christ, or other works such as the just released 700+ page book by Dr. Mike Licona that uses only a historiographical approach to show that Jesus and His resurrection are historically reliable. And these are only two examples. Perhaps the evidence you’re in possession of refutes them and all the other scholars who are experts in this field. I would suggest this: since we’re on slideshare, assemble a presentation of all your refutations and evidence and post it for all of us to review. And please, no quotes from the likes of the internet skeptics crowd or Acharya S who haven’t any foundation to stand on.

As for your supposed Leo X quote, I would point you to: http://www.tektonics.org/lp/popeleox.html.

With respect to your quote from Jeremiah and reference to Dec. 25th, (1) that is nothing but a Red Herring argument; (2) you say that is 'FAR' from the birth of Christ, but yet you say He is just a myth. How can a myth have a real birthday?

Looking for forward to going through your presentation...

  • SidheRocks SidheRocks Even bible verses admit it: (Jeremiah 10:1-5) Dec 25th is indeed, a pagan tradition, and FAR from the birth of Christ. See why religion shouldn't be preached as 'factual'? lol 3 years ago

  • SidheRocks SidheRocks He absolutely is! And anybody who says otherwise knows absolutely NOTHING about history or even reality itself. There's as much evidence for Jesus as there is for OTHER gods, myths, legends.

It's ok to have your legends/myths and believe in them, just don't MOCK others as 'ridiculous' for having their own sacred myths/beliefs.
