Is Jesus Just A Copy Of Pagan GodsWith a name like "Satan’s Girl66" I can understand why you don’t want people to view this presentation... :-)
Please present your evidence and refutations to the points contained within my presentation; I would be happy to address them with you.1 week ago

A 30 Second Proof For Godminusfive -
Your question is perfectly reasonable and good to ask. Once you determine that God exists, you next need to ask what kind of God exists? To find the answer see my presentation: http://www.slideshare.net/schumacr/six-steps-step-3b-three-proofs-for-god, where I answer that question as well as http://www.slideshare.net/schumacr/six-steps-step-4-can-god-be-known and http://www.slideshare.net/schumacr/six-steps-step-5-is-jesus-god.
Regarding your last point, something that does not begin to exist does not need a cause. God did not begin to exist but is eternal, therefore He has no cause. Before you scoff at this, keep in mind you cling to an eternal universe, which you say has always been so you’ll need to explain why you think an eternal universe is perfectly fine to accept but not an eternal Creator.3 weeks ago

Glad to hear you’re waving the white flag and giving up. At least I assume you are since you’ve not tried to attack one of the premises of this presentation’s syllogism which is a proof for the existence of God. Are you going to become a Christian now or are there other questions I can help answer for you?3 weeks ago

Thanks, already read that. Long ago. In fact, those old arguments against the proofs for the existence of God have been refuted for a very long time. As an example, the very first argument against the cosmological argument misstates the first premise. It says "Everything that exists must have a cause" whereas the the true first premise is "Everything that begins to exist must have a cause". Do you deny that anything that begins to exist has a cause? Even the famous agnostic/skeptic David Hume said "I never asserted so absurd a proposition that anything might arise without a cause."
The other refutations fail for a variety of reasons, many of which include the ’appeal to the future’ informal logical fallacy. However, my challenge to you still stands: attack my syllogism in this presentation and show where it is flawed.3 weeks ago

A 30 Second Proof For God>
Really?? Loving people by hurling insults, calling them ridiculous, nuts, a lunatic, ignorant, deluded, arrogant, empty, etc.? Have I missed any of your "love" words? I’d hate to see you react to people you don’t "love"...
Again, you’ve not done what we’ve asked - pick a premise in the argument and show how it’s invalid. You can’t because ... well, it’s a solid syllogism and correct. It’s not arrogant to say something is right and truthful when it is. It’s like Aquinas said: "The contrary of a truth can never be demonstrated."1 month ago

A 30 Second Proof For Godminusfive - I see you’re back again with the same strategy: insults and no actual challenge to this presentation. You can’t posit evolution because evolution only concerns itself with the supposed change that occurs with *existing* biological entities and says nothing about how those entities came to be. Since you recommend books be read, pick up Darwin’s Origin of Species and you’ll find in chapter 14 that Darwin admits his whole argument begins with existing beings that already contain reproductive capabilities (isn’t that convenient?) and he can’t explain how they came to exist.
This is why answering the question "why do we have something rather than nothing at all?" is key. Again, I ask that you challenge one of the premises in the main syllogism and show me how it’s flawed. See if you can manage that without hurling insults and abuse, which by the way, is a telltale sign of someone who’s afraid their position isn’t correct.1 month ago

We agree on one thing - no use talking to a wall. I simply asked you to point out what premise in my base syllogism is in error and you throw a red herring - god of the gaps. I ask you to comment on my statements on causation and you call me a lunatic and crazy. You say I’m acting irrational and yet you won’t actually carry on a dialog. Best of luck and hope to you - over and out.4 months ago

"All it states is the fact that we do not know the answers ’yet’." Amazing that you would repeat your ’argument to the future’ mistake twice after being educated about it. If you look the fallacy up in logic books you will find your above statement printed almost verbatim.
You can continue your ad hominem attacks on me or actually try and defeat my syllogism as I asked and/or answer by causation question posed to you. Much easier to hurl insults, though, isn’t it? And in regard to what kind of God exists, see my presentation on three proofs for God (near the end) for what can be inferred from God via His effects.
Lastly, I’m arrogant? Is a math teacher arrogant because they claim to know the truth about a math problem? It’s a matter of truth, nothing more. Like math, which is discovered (see the recent book Is God a Mathematician), so is truth about God.4 months ago

Your comments are laughable and ridiculous! Total fail of logic as most atheist ’theories’ are, LOL.
Your fundamental logic flaw is so easy to spot that it inspires nothing short of pity. Here it is:
Every time an atheist is faced with solid arguments for God, they commit the argumentum ad futuris or ’argument to the future’ logical fallacy. I’ll give atheists this - you guys are the ultimate optimists! Your fallacy is ’accept my argument because future evidence will support me’. It is simply argumentation by anticipation and nothing more.
So please ... attack one of my logical premises in the main syllogism within the presentation - show which one is logically in error. And in the process explain - via causation - how impersonal, amoral, meaningless, purposeless matter accidentally created personal beings (us) who are obsessed with morals, meaning, and purpose. A cause can’t give what it doesn’t have minusfive so I’m eagerly awaiting your answer.4 months ago

Things Just Don’t Add Up“Many evolutionists have tried to argue that humans are 99% similar chemically to apes and blood precipitation tests do indicate that the chimpanzee is people’s closest relative. Yet regarding this we must observe the following: ‘Milk chemistry indicates that the donkey is man’s closest relative.’ ‘Cholesterol level tests indicate that the garter snake is man’s closest relative.’ ‘Tear enzyme chemistry indicates that the chicken is man’s closest relative.’ ‘On the basis of another type of blood chemistry test, the butter bean is man’s closest relative’” (Morris, Henry M., The Twilight of Evolution, Grand Rapids: Baker Book House, 1967).6 months ago

Isnt The Old Testament God Ruthless And Cruelguest6279e49 - Thanks for your comment. Yes, Hitler was a ’choir boy’, but then Stalin entered Seminary at one point. Just by going into McDonalds you don’t become a hamburger. Hitler cleverly used any and all writings and institutions to assume power, and after that, the fruit he produced revealed what was truly on the inside - and it wasn’t God.6 months ago

Whats Wrong With Gay Marriageguest44b1e - thanks for your comments. Some clarifications on some points I think you’ve missed: when I cite robbery, kidnap, rape, etc., with respect to 2 or more adults I refer to the criminals themselves - e.g. 2 or more consenting adults agreeing to kidnap someone.
Second, there is indeed a split between what we are and choose to do. I am certainly not a naturally monogamous man - I wish I was, however I’m not. However, I *choose* to live in a monogamous relationship with my wife under God’s standards. And with respect to being legal, you confuse what people do vs. what people ought to do.
Finally, on tolerance: did you know the term - before it was twisted to be the politically-correct term it is today - is a scientific word? It refers to how far you can take a ’system’ (e.g. a bridge, car engine, etc.) away from what’s true, good, and right before it breaks. And do you tolerate everything - e.g. sex between adults and children? If not, why not? How do you justify the moral boundaries you draw and condemn the ones Christians speak about? Lastly, your view that God is "the combined spirit of all people’ - what evidence do you have for that belief?
Thanks again.6 months ago

Isnt Christianity Demeaning To WomenYour comments make me wonder if you even went through the presentation? If you did, what did/do you object to? And when you say you think "it" isn’t believable, what is it you’re referring to? Christianity? God? Religion? If God, then see my presentations on the rationality of God and Christianity here: http://www.slideshare.net/schumacr/six-steps-step-3a-30-second-proof-for-god and http://www.slideshare.net/schumacr/six-steps-step-3b-three-proofs-for-god.
Lastly, yep I’m a man. What’s your point? It’s a logical fallacy to say that a man can’t accurately describe something or teach a truth that affects women.7 months ago
