This document outlines a three-tiered rubric for guiding personalized learning through the use of technology. Tier 1 involves using technology to expand and extend learning beyond the classroom by posting resources, activities, and student work. Tier 2 engages and supports learners outside the classroom through tools that allow for student collaboration and interaction. Tier 3 transforms learning by using instructional design and collaborative tools to support students as creators and demonstrate new knowledge through projects and portfolios.
