About Kirkland Museum displays one of the most comprehensive collections in North America of modernist decorative art. More than 3,300 works are on view, with notable examples of Arts & Crafts, Aesthetic, Art Nouveau, Glasgow Style, Wiener Werkstätte, De Stijl, Bauhaus, Art Deco, Modern and Pop Art.
A survey of regional art history from 1875 to 1980, with an emphasis on Colorado Modernism confirms this region’s stature in the art of this era. There are more than 400 artists represented in the Colorado Collection ranging from traditional through modern styles. Approximately 600 works by more than 170 artists are currently on view.
