Historical events of the American Revolution<br />THE BOSTON MASSACRE<br />*March 5, 1770 many people gathered outside of the Custom House in Boston.<br />*It was an attempt of the British troops against American colonies.<br />*Fight in which three persons were killed and eight more were wounded.<br />FRENCH AND INDIAN WAR<br /><ul><li>It is also known as the Seven year war and it was mainly because of conflicts about taking over others land.

  6. 6. The war ended on 1763 with a treat in which Britain obtained an extended portion of France’s land.

After the war Britain managed the colonies and made them pay taxes to pay for the damages of the war.</li></li></ul><li>THE TEA PARTY<br />Since the British controlled everything including the tea trading, and they used high tea taxes, the colonies refused to buy tea from them. <br />Afterwards the British forced the colonists to buy their tea by passing The Tea Act.<br />The Acts was passed on May 1773.<br />DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE<br />*Written by Thomas Jefferson<br />*The Act in which all rights of population of independent states were expressed and defined.<br />*The Declaration was passed on July 4, 1776<br />*Many people see it as the beginning of a new era of America.<br />

TREATY WITH FRANCE<br />*After the French and Indian War, France wanted to get revenge on Britain.<br />*In February 1778 France and America became allied.<br />*France declared war against Britain.<br />*Spain joined the alliance a year later<br />THE AMERICAN REVOLUTION<br />*The American Revolution was the result of many battles and conflicts between the thirteen colonies and the British Empire. <br />*The thirteen colonies wanted to break free from Britain.<br />*The war ended on October 1781<br />*Two years later on 1783 the Treaty of Paris was signed.<br />*This document formally ended war between these two alliances.<br />
