    • Occupy Wall Street (OWS is an ongoing series of demonstrations initiated by OWS) OWSthe Canadian activist group Adbusters which began September 17, 2011in Zuccotti Park, located in New York Citys Wall Street financial district. The Adbusters Media Foundation is a Canadian-based not- for-profit, anti-consumerist, pro-environmentorganization founded in 1989 by Kalle Lasn and Bill Schmalz in Vancouver.The Occu-pie pizza from aptly named Occu-Liberatos Pizza a few blocks from New Pizza,Yorks Zuccotti Park, was a favorite of earlyprotestors. It was one of the first wayssupporters could donate to the cause -- byordering pizzas to feed the growingnumbers

It was originally launched asa Tumblr blog page in late August of 2011by an anonymous 28-year-old New Yorkactivist named "Chris." JAY-Zs Rocawear clothing brand has stopped selling online its controversial "Occupy Wall Street" themed t-shirts in an apparent response to criticism aimed at the legendary rapper for attempting to profit from the protest movement.
    • On September 19, Roseanne Barr, the first celebrity toendorse the protest spoke to protesters calling for a protest,combination of capitalism and socialism and a systemnot based on "bloated talk radio hosts and that goddamnAyn Rand book. Guy Fawkes masks from the film V for Vendetta are worn by protesters in New York and around the world as visual symbols of resistance against corporate greed.
