    1. Using HLSID to create a Library RSS Feed in NLH MyLibrary Siobahn Price E-Resources Assistant Librarian Francis Costello Library RJAH Orthopaedic & District Hospital NHS Trust, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY10 7AG

Health Library & Information Services Directory (HLSID) HLISD is an online database of information on physical health library services Public can view it at: http://www.hlisd.org/ Library Managers have a username and password to maintain details using the Admin site: Admin site: http://www.hlisd.org/Login.aspx

    4. Setting up RSS in HLSID Log-in to the HLSID Admin section On the first screen, click on the link called Library News Alerts
    5. Setting up RSS in HLSID (2) Click here to create a new News Alert Follow the details on screen to set up your feed and create news items. (Email me to receive a guide produced by NLH siobahn.price@rjah.nhs.uk)
    6. NLH: MyLibrary www.library.nhs.uk National Library for Health (NLH) created an area of the website, MyLibrary, for personalisation controlled by NHS Athens. HLSD is linked to this section allowing users Home Library details to appear when logged in If you set up an RSS/NewsFeed in HLSID this will appear in the MyUpdate section
    7. NLH: MyLibrary (2) Click on MyLibrary from the top navigation menu
    8. NLH: MyLibrary (3) This view shows the page you see before you log-in Log-in with Athens here RSS/Newsfeeds appear as part of My Update
    9. NLH: MyLibrary (4) This view shows the page you see when logged in with Athens Home library is recognised and links inputted into HLSID appear If you have set up an RSS Feed in HLSID, it will appear in MyUpdate
    10. NLH: MyLibrary (5) Tip: Ensure users keep up-to-date with their alerts by asking them to fill in their email address at the bottom of the MyUpdate section. An email containing all alerts will be sent to them at regular intervals.
