  • This guide is intended to help new Tendenci Super-Users learn how to use the Job Board Module so you can have a more magical experience while you’re on the web! \n\n\n
  • Navigate to the Job Board Module’s settings and management tools by moving your mouse up to the Blue Super-User Admin bar at the top of your screen while logged into your Tendenci site. \n\nGo to “Content” and the Apps menu will drop down and you can scroll down, alphabetically, through Tendenci’s core modules to get to Jobs. \n\nThis slide shows you the different options you can select for Jobs including Search Jobs, Add new Jobs, and Jobs Module Settings. \n
  • The magnifying glass icon next to the Jobs Apps menu option will take you to the Jobs search page. Here, you can search for jobs based on a keyword, categories and subcategories.\n\n\n
  • Clicking on the “+” symbol will take you to a form where you can add new job listings. \n\n
  • Here’s where you configure your Job Board’s module settings. You can enable or disable the module, list email addresses for your staff or volunteers who will be managing the Job Board, and more. \n\n\n
  • Navigate to your Job Board Pricing settings by clicking on the “Pricing” Tab next to your Jobs tab when you’re inside the Job Board Module. \n\nOnce you’ve selected the Pricing Tab, you can view options to search existing pricing or add new pricing by hovering over the Pricing tab. \n\nTips for Pricing Your Jobs Board Listings:\n* Be realistic\n* Offer bundled job packages\n* Offer different pricing options with varying active time periods\n\nDid you know Tendenci Job Listings can be custom integrated into your organization’s Facebook page as a Tab? Add a job board tab to \nyour Facebook page and increase visibility for your job listings and your website.   • You have a variety of options that you can configure for job board pricings and you can have different pricings based on member/non-member or duration of the job listing.\n\nDuration will automatically expire a job listing after a set period of time, and you have the option inside the Job Boards module settings to have automatic renewal reminders sent out. This simplifies job board management by automating many of the basic tasks for you! \n
  • The Jobs Board tab drop down menu gives you easy access to the different management tools you’ll use within your Tendenci website. \n\nThis includes managing pending jobs, viewing the latest jobs, and you and anyone who submits a job listing can view their own submissions to manage renewals, duration, and update the listing as needed. \n
  • Pending Jobs are new listings that require administrative approval before they are active and visible on the website. \n\nYour job board manager can email address receive an email for each pending new job if you have listed email(s) in the Jobs Board Module settings (see slide 6) with the Job admin notice recipient.\n
  • Tendenci’s Job Boards provide custom pricing options and integrated online payments so you can earn revenue while providing your members with a valuable directory of jobs. \n\nTips to a successful and profitable Job Board:\n\nGo Niche – keep the focus of your job listings related to your organization or industry. If you are a professional association for nurses, then limit job postings to nursing positions solely, and make sure they are quality jobs that your members would want to apply for. If you are a nonprofit focused on helping cure cancer – then you may want to post jobs focused for cancer researchers, or perhaps create a niche job board where people who have family members with cancer can find a job with a company who understands the extra flex-time your members would need to support and care for their family member. \nMake your job board selective – make job postings private to members only. By limiting the target market of potential applicants, you increase the opportunity for your members to find a job on your job board compared to the job postings on public sites like Monster and Linkedin who receive thousands of applications apiece. \nOffer a discount or free job postings to corporate members to encourage them to post jobs on your board and provide them with an additional benefit of corporate membership.\n
  • Growing Your Job Board:\nIdeas to Promote and Attract New Employers/Job Postings:\n\n* Give Paying Job Posters Access to View Resumes from your Members so they can view and look for potential candidates\n* Promote your premium job listings which Tendenci automatically puts above regular listings and highlights these, you can charge more and/or offer premium listings at a discount to corporate members\n* Promote your job listings across your website using a box and tags so members and site visitors can view the most recent job postings\n* Spotlight the employer with Tendenci’s enhanced contact and Description fields on Job Postings: add logo, link to company website, embed a video on the job posting, and more! \n* Share on your Organization’s Social media networks – tweet job listings, post on your LinkedIn groups, add a “Like” button to the postings, etc. \n
  • When you click to Export Jobs, you’ll first go to a “Jobs Export” page with a download button. Depending on your job board settings, you may also be asked to enter your super-user password. \n\nTendenci will prepare a .CSV file with all of your job listings and once the file is ready, you can download it. If your site has a large job listing’s database with several hundred listings, then the file may take a few minutes to complete before you can download it. \n
